Anne Has Both NYC and Rio on the Brain

Anne Hathaway joined NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg and actor Alan Cumming last night for the annual dinner thrown by the Empire State Pride Agenda, which works to advance LGBT causes in the region. Anne's enjoying a little break from work after her Summer filming Valentine's Day and doing Shakespeare in the Park, but she'll soon be gearing up to take on another kind of role - she's in talks to star in the animated film Rio along with NPH. Anne looked a little less fancy this morning, when she and boyfriend Adam Shulman headed out to run some errands in the city.

I have to admit there's a lot of fashion's favorite color - black - in this week's favorites. But, to keep things lively, there's also a daring red Versace gown and a gorgeous teal draped Vionnet dress. It's a pretty well-rounded bunch, actually. When I think of mustard-colored clothing paired with a brick-red lip, I can't help but think to the days of the early 1990s, when shows like The Fresh Prince of Bel Air and Saved by the Bell ruled the airwaves. But at yesterday's Power of Women luncheon in LA, Anne Hathaway proved that the dated color combo doesn't have to be so dated after all. By keeping the brown undertones associated with a traditional brick-red lipstick by the wayside, and going for a shade with both light red and golden undertones instead, this version of brick red is fresh and modern. Lisa Turtle would approve. To get the look, use more than one lip product to create your own custom-made blend. Even the coolest of us all can rock this shade, thanks to the flattering specks of gold tones and soft-red tint. Here are some suggestions below:

Olivia Wilde struck a pose this afternoon at the Power of Women luncheon in LA, while elsewhere the news broke that her costar Jennifer Morrison will be leaving their series House. Olivia was joined by a fresh-off-the-Emmys-red-carpet January Jones, along with Anne Hathaway and AnnaLynne McCord. Christina Aguilera was also in attendance, as her husband Jordan Bratman dared to be one of the few guys in the room. The event was designed to honor eight ladies - Christina Aguilera, Christina Applegate, Maria Bello, Anne Hathaway, January Jones, Sigourney Weaver, film executive Sherry Lansing, and producer Laura Ziskin - who all maintain their commitment to charitable causes despite their hectic Hollywood careers.

Movie Preview: Valentine's Day Starring Everyone

By now you've probably seen the myriad on-set shots for the upcoming ensemble romantic comedy Valentine's Day. Oh and by "ensemble", I mean the most star-studded cast to hit Hollywood in years.

This movie has (take a deep breath with me) Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Jamie Foxx, Bradley Cooper, Julia Roberts, Anne Hathaway, Emma Roberts, Jennifer Garner, Eric Dane, Patrick Dempsey, Topher Grace, Shirley Maclaine, Ashton Kutcher, Taylor Lautner, and Taylor Swift. Did I miss anyone? Probably.

Put all these beautiful stars in a rom-com, set the trailer to a booming pop song, and you've got me excited. The preview doesn't give a ton of the plot away (though I can make some educated guesses based on the title), or but I'm already analyzing the couplings we see in the clip. Anne Hathaway and Topher Grace? Brilliant. Bradley Cooper and Julia Roberts? I'm not sure about their chemistry, but I guess he does like older women. Zing!

The only question is, with these components, are we looking at He's Just Not That Into You 2.0 or Love Actually 2.0? Or neither? Watch the new trailer and let me know what you think when you read more.

Topher Has Plans For the Big and Small Screens

Anne Hathaway was decked out in blue yesterday and today to work on Valentine's Day with director Gary Marshall in LA. She was on set earlier this week already to film scenes on a scooter, and this morning she was joined by costar Topher Grace. Topher recently announced he'll be executive producing a TV series version of St. Elmo's Fire for ABC, but first he's putting in his time opposite Anne on the star-studded movie.

Anne Hathaway Scoots Into Valentine's Day

Anne Hathaway rode around on a scooter while shooting Valentine's Day in LA yesterday. The star-studded movie might add Joe Jonas to the cast, while his ex Taylor Swift, who already filmed her part with Taylor Lautner, may also record a song for the soundtrack. While Anne works on the celebrity-filled film, she's getting accolades for her past work. She won Choice Comedy Movie Actress for Bride Wars at the Teen Choice Awards, although she didn't attend the show to claim her surfboard.

Vanity Fair's 2009 International Best-Dressed list has been released, and it includes actors, models, designers, politicians, royalty, and socialites. The ones who made the cut need not have one particular fashion forte - they only need perennial style. Representing Hollywood are red-carpet queens Penelope Cruz, Anne Hathaway, Reneé Zellweger, Kelly Ripa, and Alicia Keys. Angelina Jolie didn't make the list but her man Brad Pitt did. And rightfully so! Our favorite Power Couple Natalia Vodianova and her hubby Justin Portman made it on as a couple, while Rachel Roy and Tory Burch got on solo.
