I love unexpected pairings, like dolman sleeves and hoodies. The first has a dressed-up connotation, the other laid-back. This FP Beach Cruiser Dolman-Sleeve Zip-Up Hoodie ($48, originally $68) is something worth investing in, because it will come in handy when you seek comfort sans frump.

You may or may not have been convinced John Mayer is a secret fashion player in my first story, so let's give it another go. Maybe a sexier photo will help? A sexier photo of Mayer with shopping bags?!

Would you have ever guessed John Mayer has a secret fashion obsession? He's not a flashy rock star, but let's not forget he is a rock star, and therefore knows it helps to look good — no — damn good. I caught up with the curly haired cutie at New York Fashion Week, and we talked, and talked, and talked.

I confess: I'm a hoodie addict. I wear mine when I'm feeling casual, and always when I'm walking my dog. This Marc by Marc Jacobs Mariko Hoodie ($149, originally $248) is perfection.

Hoodies are inherently casual but throw in some sequins and it's a party. Without the sparkle accent, this Gray Sequin Hoodie ($35, originally $59) would have been commonplace. And Fab girls don't settle for that!

The reversible sweatshirts ($64), available for tots sized 3-24 months, allow mamas to choose the inside and outside knits as well as interlock woven accent fabrics.

sandra werner is unstoppable. Her looks are always Fab but this rendition of sugar and spice really takes the cake. She's hangin' tough in a drool-worthy hoodie while a bright tank and nude heels provide a feminine touch.

Randomly, Little Red Riding Hood made an appearance on the catwalks of LA Fashion Week. Except, the brave little girl came in the form of tall, beanpole models showing off a Fall 2008 trend: hoods. Striped cardigans had hoods at the Whitley Kros show (left); coats at the Alexis Lamontagna collection came hooded (right); and one of Octavio Carlin's silk dresses even incorporated the style.

Amber Hagen makes these chi chi cotton–cashmere hoodies ($135) with fun symbols like peace signs, hearts, motorcycles, ducks, and smiley faces on the backs.
Each sweater is reversible making it two times as cute and the price tag a little easier to swallow. And, for the matchy–match person, you can accessorize your babe's stroller with the coordinating blanket ($165).

What kid doesn't look cute in a hoodie? The stylish item can serve up double protection against the chilly weather. I always try to put a hat on my daughter and when it's colder than usual, I double layer her by pulling the hood over her already capped noggin.
