Last night at the GQ Awards in London, model, actress, Estee Lauder spokesperson and designer, Liz Hurley arrived on the red carpet looking striking in a pastel powder blue strapless dress with matching blue eye shadow. Her eyes have a smolder to them naturally, but when they're enhanced with black liner and grey, brown or blue shadows they pop even more. With the help of these smoky eye shadow palettes, getting that sultry, come-and-get-me eye makeup look has never been easier. All you have to do is blend the lightest colour just under the brow bone, use the second lightest shade all over the lid (stop at the crease), add the medium dark shadow to the crease (remembering to blend well) and you can deepen the crease and line your eyes with the darkest shadow. How's this for a bold makeup look? French actress Marion Cotillard, who plays Edith Piaf in the upcoming biopic La Vie en Rose, took smoky eyes to a new level at the movie's New York premiere. This certainly isn't everyday eye makeup, but there's something oh-so French about the severe shadow paired with pale lips.
