Made of reclaimed cotton fibers, the path from each sweater's eco-tastic origin to the final product is fascinating. Reknitz ($38) separates pre-consumer textile table remnants into raw fibers that are then blended with 24 percent new acrylic fibers and spun into yarn. That's cool but my favorite part is that the color options don't come from dyes but instead from the (skilled) mixing of textile cuttings to create the lovely hues from what's available.

Wearing loungewear with heels is all the rage these days thanks to Alexander Wang's Spring show, where he paired gray sweatpants and sweatshirts with chunky platforms. If you want to achieve the look, this Batwing Slouch Dolman Sweater (all sizes available) is a good place to start. It also comes in light brown, dark brown, and khaki green, but heather gray is my favorite.

CinnamonPixie knows all about staying cozy. To keep warm during drizzly weather, she wore a baggy sweater that was handed down from her mom. I like how she played with proportions by pairing it with a frilly mini skirt.

Feast your eyes on this Alexander Wang Cutout Sweater ($595). This baggy, slashed sweater just hit the racks a couple weeks ago and is already sold out at some stores. The '80s-inspired cut is daring and I like the marled knit texture.

When the weather is chilly, follow raccoon_hime's lead and throw on a sweet sweater. There are several reasons why I gravitate toward this look. First, I love that she wore her sweater as a dress and belted it for a dash of femininity.

Oatmeal sweaters used to remind me of hemp and granola, but consider me a changed woman. They have been revamped with a smashing array of cuts and textures. I love how these sweaters lend instant warmth to any ensemble.

This French Connection Rina Ruffle Sweater ($100, originally $128) is quirky, but wearable. I can totally see Irish singer Roisin Murphy rocking it on stage. I dig its sheerness, the tiny vertical ruffles, but most of all, the loud color.

Have you noticed the recent influx of safety pins as accessories? I have and I'm quite fond of this quirky design. That's what drew me to this Sonia by Sonia Rykiel Safety Pin Sweater ($194).

I admit there's plenty of fashionable (and bizarre) dog clothing out there, but here's one of the most common questions I get: "Dogs have fur, isn't it silly to put anything else on them?" Well, the answer I give without fail is vague, but true: It depends. While a Samoyed in Minnesota may not need a heavy coat, it's possible that a Chihuahua may need one on a chilly night in the Valley.
