I recently got an intense urge to fill my closet with a ton of cozy chic sweaters. You know what spurred it? Daria Werbowy's delicious hooded sweater in Vogue Nippon. A-mazing. The key to a great sweater is it not only looking good, but feeling good on your skin, too. That's why you shouldn't skimp in this category - an itchy sweater, no matter how inexpensive, is useless. But, that's not to say that you can't find a relatively affordable style that's cool and comfy. One of them is this popcorn-colored cableknit sweater Arlenis Sosa is wearing. There's nothing better than slipping into a cozy cashmere sweater right about now. Yes, it's a splurge, but also a classic. In fact, my favorite heather gray cashmere sweater is five years old - and still going strong. Her Spring '10 collection, modeled by Poppy Delevigne, is streamlined, impeccably tailored, and perfect for everyday wear. Look of the Day: Cable Knit Cutie

I'm smitten with gogosushi's cozy outfit. For maximum warmth, the cable knit cutie layered her tweed shorts and chic DIY Cavour print tee with tights and a nubby sweater. Notice how she's on to the over the knee boots trend. I love it all, however, the prize goes to her buttery soft vintage Yves Saint Laurent satchel bag - swoon.

The Look For Less: Free People Cable Pullover Sweater

Nothing excites me more than Fall-worthy, cozy, oversize cable knit sweaters. But have you noticed there are way too many dorky styles out there? They make the task of finding the perfect one a drag. Luckily, I just stumbled upon this Free People Cable Pullover Sweater ($108). I'm tickled by the varying-sized braids and dolman sleeves. The price isn't ludicrous, but I found one that's equally cozy and less expensive. Let's take a lookie . . .

This Ecote Crop Cable Dolman Sweater ($48) may not be made out of wool, but it's still cozy and cute. It also has different-sized braids and dolman sleeves, and the color is just right. Throw it on over a pair of skinny leather pants and cool boots to counteract the chunkiness.

Trend Alert: Moody Knits

I know you've heard about moody florals, but what about moody knits? These dark pieces are a far cry from the ones your auntie knits for you every holiday. Moody sweaters have an ominous tinge to them via slashes, open weaving, and gloomy patterns. Check out Kate Moss in London working this look in a furry black, gray, and red striped sweater from her collection for Topshop. So rad.

Tanita Pe and I are ready for the crisp, Fall weather. Don't get me wrong - I love my Summers - but Autumn in SF is just as nice. Once the temperature drops a couple more degrees, I'm taking cue from Tanita Pe's warm and ravishing ensemble. It includes a dope pair of butterscotch zippered boots, roar-worthy animal-print skirt, and cashmere cable-knit sweater - bundled and beautiful. Can't you picture Carine Roitfeld sporting this fantastic getup?

Look Book Love: Zara, September '09

I've come to the conclusion that I'm a Zara girl. As of late, I can't get enough of its sophisticated and fairly affordable options. In fact, the Spanish retailer just announced it will start selling its collection online in the UK and other European countries - lucky! Sigh, for now, let's lust after its September '09 look book. Everything we need for Fall was on display: cozy sweaters, tailored military coats, faux fur, lace, lush leopard prints, and a to-die-for collection of boots. Zara's eye for detail leaves me swooning for every piece - this sleek wool cape is at the top of my list. What's on yours?

See, the problem with getting sale alerts is that I can't stop shopping - you know what I mean. Right when I was about to turn off my computer, I received this nice email from Tobi calling attention to its awesome sale section. Right now, designer goodies are marked up to 80 percent off.
