Taylor and Taylor Go On a Shopping and Dinner Date!

Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner went shopping at Alice + Olivia in Los Angeles yesterday, before heading for dinner at Ruth's Chris Steak House. We've seen the couple on dates in LA and in Chicago, and they looked very happy together as they giggled in the car: so cute! When asked whether they're a couple during a radio show interview, Swift said: "I don't know, he's an amazing guy and we're really close … and ah … yep". She also spoke about how excited she is to see their film Valentine's Day, and said she hopes they will "get to do a private screening" - check out the trailer after the jump. Unsurprisingly Taylor is on "team Jake" when it comes to the Twilight battle, and you can show your allegiance by picking up some cute gear!

Movie Preview: Valentine's Day Starring Everyone

By now you've probably seen the myriad on-set shots for the upcoming ensemble romantic comedy Valentine's Day. Oh and by "ensemble", I mean the most star-studded cast to hit Hollywood in years.

This movie has (take a deep breath with me) Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Jamie Foxx, Bradley Cooper, Julia Roberts, Anne Hathaway, Emma Roberts, Jennifer Garner, Eric Dane, Patrick Dempsey, Topher Grace, Shirley Maclaine, Ashton Kutcher, Taylor Lautner, and Taylor Swift. Did I miss anyone? Probably.

Put all these beautiful stars in a rom-com, set the trailer to a booming pop song, and you've got me excited. The preview doesn't give a ton of the plot away (though I can make some educated guesses based on the title), or but I'm already analyzing the couplings we see in the clip. Anne Hathaway and Topher Grace? Brilliant. Bradley Cooper and Julia Roberts? I'm not sure about their chemistry, but I guess he does like older women. Zing!

The only question is, with these components, are we looking at He's Just Not That Into You 2.0 or Love Actually 2.0? Or neither? Watch the new trailer and let me know what you think when you read more.

Shirtless Eric Makes For a Steamy Valentine's Day

Eric Dane filmed shirtless scenes for Valentine's Day in LA yesterday. He's used to showing off his abs as Grey's Anatomy's Mark Sloane, so Eric looked like a natural smiling with bongos and throwing a football on the beach. His character is a quarterback thinking about retiring and was initially rumored to be Bradley Cooper's love interest in the star-studded movie. These photos didn't come in time for this year's Hottest Shirtless Guy competition - click here to cast your votes -but he's already a strong contender for next Summer.

Jen and Patrick Keep the V-Day Festivities Rolling

Jennifer Garner joined Patrick Dempsey yesterday for an afternoon on the set of Valentine's Day in LA. Patrick was also busy filming earlier this week, and he's having to balance this movie with his long hours working on Grey's Anatomy and his new race car project. Jennifer is also juggling a few professional commitments at the moment, just like many of the other all-stars in their upcoming romantic comedy.

Grey's Boys Join Valentine's Day Rom-Com

Two handsome McMen of Grey's Anatomy are climbing aboard the already very crowded Garry Marshall rom-com, Valentine's Day. Patrick Dempsey and Eric Dane will join a cast that includes, among others, Julia Roberts, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Jennifer Garner, Shirley MacLaine, Bradley Cooper and Ashton Kutcher.

The story follows the intersecting love lives of a bunch of LA folks. Dempsey will again be playing a doctor, this time "a married obstetrician dating Garner's character on the sly, with her unaware of his status."

Meanwhile, "Dane will play a quarterback struggling over the decision of whether to retire." Interestingly, though there's no mention of it in today's news piece, the role of the football player has previously been described as a closeted gay character with whom Bradley Cooper's character is in love. I think Cooper and Dane make a pretty cute couple, actually.

Garry Marshall Gets a Cast For Valentine's Day

Just after the box office success of He's Just Not That Into You around Valentine's Day this year, Garry Marshall announced that he's working on a similar movie - intersecting love lives of a whole slew of people, this time set in LA - to open Valentine's Day weekend next year. The title? Valentine's Day. Now the project has a bunch of big names attached, including Julia Roberts, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Jennifer Garner, Shirley MacLaine, Bradley Cooper, and Ashton Kutcher. The Hollywood Reporter breaks down the many roles:

- Roberts is an army officer on leave from Iraq on a flight to L.A. Cooper, on the same flight, is a gay man whose lover is a closeted football player.

- Kutcher is an owner of a flower shop who proposes to his girlfriend (Alba), only to realize he is in love with his close friend, played by Garner, who discovers her boyfriend is married.

- MacLaine plays Roberts' mother, a happy retiree who reveals to her husband a long-ago affair.

- Hathaway is an assistant working at the biggest talent agency in town and dating a mailroom assistant; Biel is a publicist unlucky in love (is there any other kind?) who has no date on Valentine's Day.

Major roles still to be cast are the gay football player, MacLaine's husband, the mailroom worker, a talent agent and a young boy looking to give his crush some flowers.

I adore this ensemble cast (there's a little Alias reunion!) and I can't wait to see how they all work together. I just hope this cast gets something better to work with than He's Just Not That Into You. Maybe it'll turn out to be more like Love Actually. One thing's for sure: New Line Cinema sure knows how to lure women to the theaters on Valentine's Day weekend. What do you think about this cast?

Heidi and Spencer Have a Pure-Hearted Valentine's Day

Heidi Montag put on a peach Herve Leger dress and strutted down the red carpet with Spencer Pratt on Saturday for their Valentine's Day party in Las Vegas. Spencer gave Heidi a large bouquet of roses and a bottle of champagne, but their dramatics weren't nearly as played up as last year's holiday. The couple took pictures with fans and cuddled up in the VIP section for their first V-Day as sort-of husband and wife.

A Valentine's Menu That Won't Break the Scale

Recently I received a personal message from a reader asking for advice on what to cook her boyfriend for Valentine's Day. They've been working out together and eating healthy, so she was looking for a menu that wouldn't ruin their diet. Here, I've come up with a decadent dinner menu that won't pack on pounds. To start, serve an appetizer of the freshest raw oysters (if you dislike oysters, opt for shrimp cocktail) with a glass of sparkling wine. For the main course, pair a huge green salad alongside classic cheese fondue. Select dippers that are diet-friendly like crudités, wheat bread croutons, and lean proteins. Instead of indulging in a calorie-packed dessert, splurge on a high-quality bar of dark chocolate and enjoy with a bottle of port.

Raw Oysters
From Martha Stewart

1 tablespoon pink peppercorns
1 tablespoon green peppercorns
1 tablespoon fennel seed, lightly toasted
1/2 cup red-wine vinegar
1/2 cup champagne vinegar
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 dozen fresh oysters

In a small bowl, combine peppercorns, fennel seed, vinegars, and salt.
Shuck oysters just before serving; arrange on bed of crushed ice.
Drizzle with mignonette, or serve on the side. Serve immediately.

Cheese Fondue
From Gourmet magazine

1 garlic clove, halved crosswise
1 1/2 cups dry white wine (preferably Swiss, such as Fendant)
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 teaspoons kirsch
1/2 lb Emmental cheese, coarsely grated (2 cups)
1/2 lb Gruyère , coarsely grated (2 cups)
cubes of French bread on fondue forks or long wooden skewers
Special equipment: a fondue pot

Rub inside of a 4-quart heavy pot with cut sides of garlic, then discard garlic. Add wine to pot and bring just to a simmer over moderate heat.
Stir together cornstarch and kirsch in a cup.
Gradually add cheese to pot and cook, stirring constantly in a zigzag pattern (not a circular motion) to prevent cheese from balling up, until cheese is just melted and creamy (do not let boil).
Stir cornstarch mixture again and stir into fondue. Bring fondue to a simmer and cook, stirring, until thickened, 5 to 8 minutes.
Transfer to fondue pot set over a flame and serve with bread for dipping.

Mixed Green Salad With Tarragon Vinaigrette
From Gourmet

Ingredients

4 teaspoons Sherry vinegar
1 tablespoon minced shallot
1/2 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
2 teaspoons finely chopped fresh tarragon
1/2 lb frisée (French curly endive), torn into bite-size pieces
1 head Boston lettuce (1 lb), torn into bite-size pieces
1 bunch arugula (1/2 lb), coarse stems discarded
1 bunch watercress (1/2 lb), coarse stems discarded

Directions

Whisk together vinegar, shallot, mustard, salt, and pepper in a small bowl, then add oil in a slow stream, whisking until emulsified. Whisk in tarragon.
Toss greens with dressing in a large bowl and season with salt and pepper.

Serves 8.
