We refer to obesity as an epidemic and talk about anorexia as an eating disorder, but both illustrate our extreme relationships with food. Disordered eating is a regular topic in Lifetime movies and TV talk shows, and there are occasionally real-life documentaries of young women battling anorexia. When a fashion model suffers from an eating disorder, we hear about it in the news.

The Met's Costume Institute Gala: British Beauties
Last night was one of the biggest nights in fashion as many of the A-list hit the red carpet in New York to attend the opening of 'The Model as a Muse' exhibition at the Met. Despite several names pulling out (including Naomi Campbell owing to her allegiance to Alaia) there were still plenty of glamorous Brits at the event including hosts Kate Moss and Anna Wintour. UPDATE: Halston reps have shot down rumors of Oliver Theyskens taking over as its next creative director. "Olivier will never, ever happen," said a source. "It's no secret that [the brand] is struggling - they need a designer who can sell lots and lots of clothes, not just get great press."
Kate Makes Fashionably Late Entrance to Topshop Launch
Kate Moss made her grand debut at yet another Topshop party in NYC last night. Philip Green reserved the iconic restaurant for both nights leading up to the store opening in Soho today. Marc Jacobs and his fiance Lorenzo Martone helped celebrate as well flashing a gold band and welcoming Kate and her friend Chloe Green to the neighborhood earlier in the day.
Stella and Pink Keep the Party Going at Paris Fashion Week
After a weekend full of shows the fashionable crowd showed no sign of slowing down at Paris Fashion Week yesterday. Milla Jovovich, Claudia Schiffer, Kanye West and Anna Wintour attended the Yves Saint Laurent show, while Pink and Stella McCartney went to Peta's Press Conference before joining lots of celebs for Stella's show. Paul McCartney and Nancy Shevell showed their support from the front row, as did Beth Ditto, Thandie Newton, Kanye, Amber Rose, Salma Hayek and Francois-Henri Pinault.
