Former Baywatch star Nicole Eggert is back and she's sticking it to her critics in a big way. In this Baywatch spoof, the 37-year-old mother-of-one reprises her role as Summer Quinn - red bikini and all. Eggert has endured criticism over the years for weight gain, to which she says, "I'm a real woman and real women gain weight!" The actress is one of the celebrities hoping to slim down on next year's Celebrity Fit Club.

I think this video is a hilarious critique on the emphasis put on body image and I applaud Eggert for putting her weight up for public discussion - what do you think?

Paramount Plans a Big Screen Baywatch Comedy

Big screen, big boobs, big . . . laughs? Yup! Screenwriter Jeremy Garelick has been hired to rewrite and direct Baywatch, "a big screen comedy based on the syndicated series about buff lifeguards who patrol a beach in California."

Back in 2005, DreamWorks acquired the remake rights to the show and were shown a script that was heavy on action. Garelick was chosen to do a rewrite and he decided to make the movie into a comedy, saying "It felt like the template to do a movie that was similar to Stripes and Police Academy, the comedies I loved growing up." The story itself will center on "two unlikely lifeguard candidates trying to catch on alongside the buff bodies that will be as abundant in the film as they were in the TV series."

I can definitely see a Baywatch movie working as a comedy. It's certainly been fodder for enough spoofs, anyway. Now it's a matter of who should be cast as a whole new generation of Baywatch babes. Who could be the next Pam Anderson and David Hasselhoff?

Which is More Salacious: The Simpsons or Baywatch?

Wacky, but true: A Venezuelan TV station that had been airing The Simpsons at 11 a.m. on weekdays recently pulled the show from the air after officials determined that the animated comedy could violate the country's Law of Social Responsibility in Radio and Television. Its replacement: Baywatch. Yup, slacker humor and fart jokes might corrupt the minds of Venezuelan youth - but scantily-clad lifeguards and David Hasselhoff are A-OK.

This is truly a question I never thought I'd be asking, but: Is Baywatch or The Simpsons more damaging to youthful minds?

I always wondered what the appeal was of World of Warcraft- until now. I didn't realize these gamer dudes were recreating Baywatch and getting their best beachside frolic on. It all looks fun, but this is one Hoff short of the real deal. Recreate him and we're good to go.

They call it a "Sexy Jogging" competition, but sexist and appalling is more like it. For 30 seconds, teams of three women, dressed in nothing but bikinis, run in place and the team with the most collective footsteps wins. Pretty basic, right? Well, that's where the barely covered bouncing boobs come in. Ugh. (I'd propose a "Bouncing Penises" competition, but few women would wanna see that crap!)

Ben Threatens to do Baywatch

Ben was looking wonderful last night at the GQ Men of the Year Awards in LA. We just heard him gushing to Ellen about Violet and Jen. Now he's threatening to play David Hasselhoff and throw on some Speedos. He is looking super svelte in these pics.... maybe he could pull of the Speedo look but we sure hope he doesn't go down that road. Here's more:

BEN AFFLECK has warned movie bosses he'll star in the BAYWATCH movie adaptation if they don't give him another directing job. The PEARL HARBOR star is desperate to quit acting so he can concentrate on working behind the camera instead. And he's given producers an ultimatum - either employ him again after seeing his directing talents in forthcoming release GONE, BABY, GONE, or he'll shamelessly take on DAVID HASSELHOFF's role in Baywatch. He tells Hotdog magazine, "I hope that people like the movie enough that they would hire me to direct another movie. "If not, it's strapping on those Speedos, getting on a surfboard and doing the film adaptation of Baywatch."

First off - yes it is called Hotdog Magazine - it's a UK thing and it is real. It really does exist. As for Ben, It will be interesting to see if he can make the transition to a director, but we hope he doesn't disappear from in front of the cameras forever. Pamela Anderson stripped down to a Baywatch-style red swimsuit at Richie Rich's catwalk show in Miami Beach yesterday, but she'll be donning a different costume soon as she will be starring in panto this Christmas! She will make her pantomime debut as the Genie of the Lamp in Aladdin at London's New Wimbledon Theatre in December. A high profile celebrity does draw you to the theatre, and now I'd love to know if it has an influence on you in other ways, so vote below to let me know: does a big name star increase your interest in panto?
