Some girls are serious, but this girl just wants to have fun! AlphaBetaChic is wearing the most whimsically adorable outfit, isn't she? I love her black and white striped top and the big red bow. The black circle skirt adds further fun, as do her heart-shaped sunnies. I can see this outfit working for a lighthearted party or even Halloween.

From the runways onto department and drugstore shelves, I'm sure we'll see lots of fresh new makeup options and application techniques go full circle come March. Last month in New York, we saw six very wearable trends emerge, from peach lips to bold eyeliner to heavy-handed under-the-eye liners. But throughout the course of New York Fashion Week and other Spring 2010 shows, including Paris, London, and Milan, there were other looks that won't quite make the transition. Take this sequin forehead heart-shaped applique, for instance - straight from the Ungaro show in Paris, for which Lindsay Lohan acted as artistic adviser. While I appreciate each and every designer's artistic flair, some looks just won't translate to real life. See what I mean now.

The last couple of days have been some of the most experimental of the week. If you've seen the makeup and hair at Marc Jacobs's runway show you know what I'm talking about. While I'm excited to see designers innovating, I'd also like to showcase looks that are achievable without a team of brilliant makeup artists present. Betsey Johnson to Design an Eloise-Inspired Suite at the Plaza

Betsey Johnson is diving headfirst into her first hotel collaboration with a suite inspired by Kay Thompson's Eloise for New York's most prestigious address, The Plaza Hotel. Once the dust of New York Fashion Week settles, she is due to begin designing a two-bedroom suite in the character's signature pink-and-black palette. This shouldn't be much of a stretch for the designer, who dressed her own Manhattan penthouse in head-to-toe pink (shown left). The suite, as you might expect, will balance Johnson's notoriously wild style with the Plaza's brand of luxury, and should be a treat for adults and young guests alike. Of the collaboration, Johnson has said:

I'm tickled pink to be designing the Eloise Suite at the Plaza. When I recently moved uptown and my first granddaughter was born, I rediscovered Eloise and hoped that something magical would happen between me and my favorite hotel. This is the perfect pink combo!

Whitney Port attended the NYC premiere of The City season two, which debuts on Sept. 29, wearing a gorgeous silver brocade Whitney Eve mini dress. Always a girlie girl, the reality starlet cinched her waist with a pink and purple ribbon belt, then dressed her earlobes up with modern pearls. A pair of dainty sequined pumps continue the glittery theme. Lovely from head to toe.

Dolce and Gabbana's makeup muse did some promoting at Selfridges department store in London earlier today. She usually plays up her sex-kitten persona, but here she opted for a ladylike look by Dolce and Gabbana. The pretty floral blouse is tempered by a long and lean pencil skirt and finished with a pair of nude peep-toe pumps. But it wouldn't be Scarlett without some sexy - her red lips help achieve just that.
