Alicia Keys can belt out a mean tune, and now she's about to show her talent in jewelry design. The singer, along with Gisèle Theriault, has launched a sterling silver and gemstone line called The Barber's Daughters. What makes it special is each piece is inscribed with author Masaru Emoto's poetry and prayers. The goal is "to give people beautiful, unique pieces with messages that ignite them to find the best within," Alicia said. Retail prices start at $85 and go up to $2,500 - peruse the extensive collection.

Michelle! Claudia! Two More Celebrity Fashion Lines in the Works

The celebrity designer wheel keeps on turning. The latest star to join the club is Gossip Girl Michelle Trachtenberg. She is teaming up with Coach to design a costume jewelry line under its Poppy label - faux pearls and colorful crystals hit stores in the Spring.

Though there isn't an official deal in the works, Super Claudia Schiffer has also expressed interest in designing. "I have no definite first product in mind, but I would love to do cashmere. It's something I wear all the time myself, but I'd love to do something a bit more price-friendly. . . . Or I could imagine doing handbags," she said. Cool, but not everyone is thrilled with these celebrity designer deals. According to fashion writer Robin Givhan, "I can't imagine Donna Karan saying I'm going to cut an album because her friends say she can sing karaoke." Ouch. Do you agree?

Angelina and Brad Design High-End Jewelry With Asprey

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have tackled a lot together - namely, a growing family. A high-end jewelry line is the latest. Dubbed The Protector, it's inspired by snakes because Angelina considers the reptile a protector of her family. Here at the BAFTA Awards in February, she gave us a sneak peek of the line by wearing the serpent bracelet.

The duo's jewelry line has been in the works for more than a year but will finally debut later this week at Asprey stores in London, New York, Beverly Hills, Tokyo and Dubai. A silver baby spoon with a serpent-shaped handle, retailing for $525, will benefit Education Partnership for Children of Conflict, co-founded by Angelina. Black diamond and emerald pavé rings, earrings, bracelets, men’s cuff links, and studs are also part of the line. This is one celebrity designer collaboration I didn't see coming. Did you?

Emanuel Ungaro Calls Lindsay's Collab a Disaster

You weren't the only one hating Lindsay Lohan and Estrella Arch's heart pasties: Emanuel Ungaro despised them, too. The designer, who parted ways with his namesake label back in 2005, has kept mum about the collaboration - until now. In a recent press conference, Ungaro stated, "Lindsay Lohan's collaboration was a disaster. I am furious but I can't do anything about it."

Ungaro continues, stating that the Paris fashion house "is in the process of losing its soul. That happens to a lot of designers. We were the creators and patrons, responsible for the creation and destiny of our houses. But when we gave up our houses, we gave up our souls," said the designer. Sad.

Steve Madden Makes Shoes and Bags For Olsenboye

The shoe company is set to produce a collection of footwear and accessories that include suede flats, canvas sneakers, slouchy plaid handbags, and small bucket bags. Starting this Friday, Nov. 6, you can get your Olsenboye on at jcp.com and in 50 JCPennney stores. Look out for a full launch for Spring.

Two New Celebrity Footwear Collections on the Horizon

On the footwear front today, the unstoppable Nicole Richie has released exclusive images of her Spring '10 House of Harlow footwear collection. The shoes, set to debut in January at My-Wardrobe.com, stay true to her bohemian aesthetic featuring chunky platforms and Navajo-inspired detailing. Prices are to be determined.

In addition, rumor has it Victoria Beckham will be adding a footwear collection to her covetable VB clothing collection. "Victoria is tired of promoting other brands. If she wears Christian Louboutin or Hermès people go and buy it. She thought, 'Why can't I do this with my own line?'", said a friend of Victoria Beckham. Of course, hottie husband David Beckham supports her new venture offering to build her a design workshop. Tell me, would you be interested?

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen Launch Olsenboye For JCPenney

On to the next. The rumors are true: Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are launching a juniors line for JCPenney. Olsenboye makes total sense: the sisters began their retailer endeavors in the junior market - it's not to be forgotten.

The line will debut in 600 stores in February, but an innovative marketing campaign will kick off today for three days via an Olsenboye “treat truck” cruising around NYC selling clothes and giving out cupcakes, balloons and pins. The Olsen’s will be making a surprise appearance on one of the three days. As well, empty racks in 50 high-profile stores will be covered in Olsenboye samplings. Come Nov. 6, Olsenboye will be sold on jcp.com and in those 50 stores, including the Manhattan flagship, for a limited time. Updates and a teaser video can be viewed on Olsenboye.com.

The retail prices will range $20 to $50 for casual sportswear and accessories that includes denim, bottoms, tops, dresses, skirts, shorts, jackets, handbags and shoes. Super cool: it will dabble in travel-inspired mini collections, each reflecting the looks and trends of different cities.

What does Ashley say about the news: “Mary-Kate and I watch current trends and see our partnership with JCPenney as an opportunity to add something unique to the marketplace, especially in the current retail climate. Olsenboye is an extension of the Dualstar brand and we feel this collaboration complements and strengthens our business portfolio, delivering trend-based fashion at affordable prices.”
