New Charlie's Angels TV Show Planned on ABC
Word is that ABC is close to finalizing a deal to bring another version of Charlie's Angels to TV.
This new series would be a "modern version" of the '70s hit, and yes, I know you're thinking that we already got a modern version with the 2000 movie Charlie's Angels and its sequel. Interestingly, Drew Barrymore is involved in this new series somehow (I'm guessing production), as is Leonard Goldberg who produced the original series.
Flashback: The First Episode of Charlie's Angels
There's a lot of awesomely weird stuff going on in the opening bit for the first episode of Charlie's Angels. First off, the disembodied voice of patriarchy, aka Charlie, calls his on-call private investigators "three little girls." (Oh, yeah, he also calls them all his "angels.")
My favorite part of this '70s fantasy, though, is that before Charlie phones Sabrina, Jill, and Kelly to tell them to report to their PI jobs, they're playing tennis, horseback riding, and lounging by the pool.

Though our I Want This Wardrobe series dedicated to the ass-kicking chick flicks Charlie's Angels and Charlie's Angels 2, Full Throttle have come to an end, there were a few important lessons to be learned.
First, don't take life too seriously; movies like this are great, silly fun and some may deem it cheesy but hey, cheese is a spice of life. Second, Cameron, Drew and Lucy are all positive role models, both on screen and off; they are beautiful, independent, successful women.

Being an Angel isn't just all about kicking ass and taking names: we've all learned it's important to look good along the way! Lucy, Drew, and Cam take some time off from going undercover in Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle, and focus on looking like their normal, albeit smokin', selves.
Dressy clothes are fun, but soon it's back to business.

Nothing beats a little bar time in outer Mongolia, not if you're an Angel on a mission in Charlie's Angels Full Throttle, anyway! Cammie plays the Nordic snow bunny, complete with pom-poms and furry boots (cute!), Lucy is always suitably bad-ass in black, and Drew, well, she provides some excellent back-up!
And good back-up the girls will need, when they're up against "fallen Angel" Demi Moore, all villainess in lace and fur, her only accessory the menacing gun.

Charlie's Angels 2, Full Throttle is so much fun to watch, partially because the Angels aren't afraid to get a little raunchy! Their hijinks are ridiculously entertaining, and they have killer style to boot. These skimpy Pussy Cat Doll costumes would be great fun to adapt for Halloween with the help of a few friends.

One of the best parts about Charlie's Angels Full Throttle was Demi Moore's comeback - and dang, did she ever come back! She and Cameron looked totally smokin' in their itsy bitsy teeny weeny bikinis, ready to hit the waves. Total beach babes.

The wild Charlie's Angels ride continues! This time the stakes are higher, the angels are sassier and the wardrobe is better! With a washboard stomached Justin Theroux, whom I adore, and a toned up, bad ass Demi Moore, here we have double the villain fun.

We hope you enjoyed our trip down memory lane to the action-packed, fun-filled film that is Charlie's Angels. All week long we followed and wardrobed the adventures of Natalie, Alex and Dylan and in this case all good things don't come to an end: we'll be bringing you Charlie's Angels 2: Full Throttle next week! In my opinion the second CA's had a better wardrobe so get ready to get excited.
