Cirque du Soleil turns 25 years old this year — a quarter of a century of amazing acrobatics, over-the-top costumes, and praise-worthy showmanship. If you've ever been to one of Cirque's shows, you know it's all about the theatrics. Lots and lots of it!

This year, Cirque Du Soleil, the circus troupe known for its stellar showmanship and decadent productions, including stunning makeup and hair design, is celebrating 25 years of performances. The newest Cirque du Soleil show, Wintuk, premiered at MSG last night bringing out some of our most favorite new TV stars — Blake Lively and Ed Westwick (Serena and Chuck) from Gossip Girl. In case you missed all the in depth coverage of last night's episode (which was amazing, btw), check it out here. Also out to see the whimsical new show was Abigail Breslin, Leelee Sobieski's tights and cute Hunter Parish, who plays Silas on Weeds.

The Cirque Du Soleil performers combine the lameness of mimes, the creepiness of clowns, with the pretension of interpretive dance. Give them jobs as sex crime investigators and you get this surreal mess...
