I like maxi dresses, I dig colorblock, but for some reason I can't stomach the two together. Lake Bell wore a colorblock maxi Lyn Devon dress to a party for the designer in LA that has me flummoxed. The colors in her ensemble are punchy and the belt helps define her waist, but do you approve of the final product?

Ever since I figured out the secret behind color blocking, I've been using it to my advantage. This Old Navy Color Block Cardigan ($15, originally $30) features a Chanel-y palette of black and cream. I like how the light detailing calls attention to the right parts while the black disguises.

Isn't Eva a knock out? No wonder her Calvin Klein lingerie ads were deemed too steamy for US boob tubes. She kept things modern and cool while promoting the new bra line at Harrods in London this week.

When I first saw model Masha Tyelna in this Dazed & Confused editorial (center), I freaked out: I thought her waist was freakishly small. Upon closer inspection, I realized it's just a fashion illusion created by the black side panels on her strapless dress. Phew!

I couldn't take take my eyes off of Leighton Meester's colorblock dress from Chloe's Spring collection when I saw it recently on FabSugar. I immediately started thinking of home items that are also inspired by colorblock patterns, such as this Rive Droite Swivel Chair With Pucci Fabric ($4,160) from Unica Home. I love the sense of whimsy that colorblocking brings to otherwise staid pieces.

Chloe's Spring collection was infused with all sorts of colorful colorblock dresses. Leighton Meester first wore the tunic dress back in May with Chloe's cool slip-through clutch. Model and fiance of radio personality Howard Stern Ostrosky wore a slightly different Chloe colorblock dress to the screening of The Wackness in NYC.

At first glance, you'd never be able to tell that the Mood Tunic ($180) has multiple personalities. But while having varying moods can be seen as negative, the Mood Tunic is anything but. Believe it or not, it can provide you with 10 or so different stylish outfits.

Going to the beach doesn't mean you can't look cute in the little you have on. Prime example is thequeenbee and her friend. These stylish beach buddies are looking Fab in their color-blocked beach cover-ups.

The band rocks, and so do these accessories. The block party has been going strong for about a year now — something about warm weather and color blocking really clicks. I enjoy colorblocking an outfit with individual pieces, creating my own creative color combo.

Gossip Girl Leighton Meester hosted a bash in Las Vegas, but ditched the usual Sin City glitter. Instead, she opted for classy, and a bit sassy, in her Catherine Malandrino colorblock dress. I'm digging the purple, teal, and black combo!
