Love 'em or hate 'em, they're everywhere! Crocs have taken tot toes by storm and are still growing and gaining popularity and not just in America. The Japanese are infatuated with the porous rubber shoes as are other cultures. The initial design suited gardeners and the like just fine but the business got sassy and added Mary Jane and ballet flat styles to the mix. Easy to slip on and keep clean, they can also be hazardous in certain situations. They are slippery when wet and they have been known to cause some trauma on an escalator or two. So tell us, are you a Crocs lovin' mom?

Which Are More Hideous: Crocs or Vibram Five Finger Flow?

Crocs have been famously derided as the ugliest shoe on the planet, but I would argue that the Vibram Five Finger Flow shoes, made to contour individual toes, give Crocs a run for their money. What do you think?

Celebabies Have Crocs and Slippers on the Soles of Their Feet

Summer's here and the time is right for lil ones to be dancing in the street. But before they get footloose, they've got to cover their feet and Tinseltown's tots and politikids are embracing two styles this season - laid back casual and dainty sophistication. Crocs are still tops for a number of kiddos with Leni Klum, Apple and Moses Martin and River Deary sporting the ubiquitous non-slip sandals that caused a stir when they first hit playgrounds two years ago. Lil girls looking to add some slip-on style to their wardrobes are shopping the ballet flats at Crewcuts. Sasha Obama boarded Air Force One in a pair and landed in Moscow in another, while Suri Cruise opted for a more wild style while attending the Australian theater.

Love it or Hate it? Crocs Nadia Boots

I'm sure I'm not alone in my actual hate of Crocs. The rubber shoes are perfectly acceptable for the elderly or very young but otherwise are surely a big contender for ugliest shoe ever?

For the Autumn season Crocs have created a winter boot, the 'Nadia' which looks like a mixture of the Ugg boot and a croc clogg.

I don't doubt that they're warm, comfortable and perfect for snowy days but isn't fashion about looking stylish? What do you think of the Nadia boot?

Celebaby Style: Wyatt Crow

Rocker mama Sheryl Crow couldn't have asked for a better looking stud to pal around with. Her main man Wyatt Crow is turning into quite a looker with chubby lil cheeks, knowing eyes, and sandy blond hair. If I didn't know any better, I'd think this little boy was a clone of his adoring mommy.

Not one to shy away from noteworthy causes, the mama dressed her tot in a tee that reads, "Save some green for me! Drive a Hybrid"! Paired with some colorful madras shorts and some sporty blue Cayman Crocs, this tyke looks ready to soak up the sun.

Colorful Crocs Made For Cell Phones

I wish there was an ounce of me that thought Croc shoes were cool. I never quite succumbed to the Croc shoes mania that ensued a few years ago, but I did get a pair, just to fit in with those (my entire family) that had them. The people that do look adorable wearing Crocs are little kids, who would also look super-cute sporting one of these Croc cell-phone cases. SlashGear notes that these cases are set to be released in Europe on May 1. Colors will include black, silver, red, grape, fuchsia, celery, cotton candy, and turquoise and will cost around $15 each.

2007 was a year in which Dolce & Gabbana made $275 safety glasses, rings came with living plants, Crocs went ballet, tops had huge holes in the front, and Anya Hindmarch caused an "I'm not a plastic bag" frenzy. Whew - what a year! Looking back, do you still feel the same way you used to? Do you Love It or Hate It?

Caution For Croc-Wearing Kids

Plastic clogs have become a fast favorite of lil kids and their parents who love the convenience of the slip-on shoes, but wearers should take caution.

A New York Times health blog stated that escalator accidents involving the nonskid shoes getting caught in front of or on the sides of the moving steps were reported in Japan and across the nation. It said:

Closer to home, local television stations and bloggers also have reported on several escalator injuries to kids who were wearing Crocs. In August, the blog Wisebread ran pictures of a mangled Croc shoe and a little girl’s bloodied toes, both allegedly the aftermath of an escalator accident. And one website, CrocsAccidents, is devoted entirely to injuries that occur while kids are wearing Crocs.

Do you think shoe style contributes to escalator safety, or is this just a crock?
