Cynthia Rowley Surfs With Roxy

Suddenly, Cynthia Rowley seems that much cooler. An avid surfer, she is teaming up with Roxy for a collection named Cynthia Rowley for Roxy. The first collection will launch exclusively at Barneys New York and at Colette in Paris in March. But don't fret beach dwellers: it will also be available in Roxy stores and in Cynthia Rowley boutiques worldwide. The whole Rowley clan hits breaks: "My family and I surf a lot. Just about every weekend in the Summer, we go to Montauk, and in the winter we go to the Dominican Republic for long weekends. I love that we have this family activity that we all really enjoy.”

Partnering with an outside designer to create an apparel collection is a first for Roxy. But the masterminds behind the lifestyle brand know to keep up with the Jones, “Our mission at Roxy has always been to have one foot in the surf world and another foot in the fashion world,” said Randy Hild, executive vice president of marketing at Roxy. Down to the sandy details! Expect Rowley-inspired wetsuits, boards shorts, shorts, tees, dress, swimwear, and accessories. Neoprene headbands? Right on. And, keeping with the affordable Roxy price point, the collection will be priced from $18 wholesale for a printed scarf to $89 wholesale for a long-sleeve bodysuit. Shaka.

Trend Alert: Pink Eye Shadow For Spring

After looking at photos of show after show of barely made up, fresh faces on the Spring 2010 NY catwalks, it came as a fun surprise to spot a slew of gals wearing punchy pink eyeshadow. To pull off this look in a wearable way, the rest of the face needs to remain relatively tame, with gently accented pale pink blusher, black eyeliner and of course lots of mascara.

Lips can be pink, nude or bare, but foundation should be smooth and clean. We saw a burst of pink eye shadows on the runways during 2009 Autumn London Fashion Week, so it looks like this trend might be sticking around long enough to invest in. I happen to love a fresh face with one pop of colour, and pink is always on the top of my list. What do you think of pink shadow?

Hooray by Cynthia Rowley Hits Babies R Us!

Get ready to spoil a lil one rotten with some affordable designer duds! Cynthia Rowley, the fashion darling known for her bright prints and bold colors, launched her first-ever baby products collection today at 155 Babies R Us locations across the country.

Hooray by Cynthia Rowley features lots of pink and blue apparel for children up to 4 years old, as well as bibs, blankets, diaper bags, and storage bins in classic and colorful combinations. The Fall selections include corduroy and chunky sweaters with plaids, stripes, and prints, and her signature polka-dot patterns. Like Rowley's home collections for Target, her baby items are priced for today's wallet-conscious mom, with clothing ranging from $8 to $30. The designer plans to expand into baby bedding, bath, and room decor next year. Check out the first pieces from the collection below.

Lauren, Patrick and Jordin Go All Black For Avon

Fresh from her appearance on Letterman, Lauren Conrad, the designer and spokeswoman for mark cosmetics, was out on the red carpet to represent the Avon Foundation at their Hosts The Hope Honor event in NYC last night. Patrick Dempsey, one of their celebrity fragrance faces also came out to look fantastically good looking with his wife. Jordin Sparks, who also is a spokeswoman for the mark brand, posed with Lauren Conrad. All of the ladies and the dreamy man looked great in black to support the good organization they support.

The always-smiling Mandy Moore lit up a recent red carpet not only with her grin but also with her ensemble. On top, she kept things casual in an Alexander Wang tank and a modern denim jacket. On the bottom, she went sexy in Larsen Gray's black band skirt and nude sandals. Most stars stay away from wearing denim on the red carpet, but I'm glad Mandy attempted it . . . and got it right.

This group of Resort looks can best be described in three "L" words: loose, layering, and legs. Things are shaping up pretty nicely for my Winter vacation. I can choose to be whimsy, like at Lanvin (pictured) or Cynthia Rowley; I can be downright bold, seen at Naeem Kahn and Malandrino; or, I can play it cool wearing Jason Wu, Max Azria, and Vera Wang. Whatever I choose, I will be comfortable, play with silhouettes, and bare some skin. Yep, sounds like a Fab getaway to me.
