After two years under the radar, Phoebe Philo is
back with a bang as the new creative director of Celine.
"I want to create clothes, shoes, bags and accessories that are relevant to right now — modern, exciting designs that women will desire and appreciate,"
said Philo.
Before taking a couple years off to spend time with her family, Philo served as the creative director of Chloé. The British designer was responsible for the brand's successful feminine meets cool aesthetic with high-waisted jeans, stack heeled buckled boots, and the highly coveted
Paddington bag.

With his
Target contract expiring at the end of the year, Isaac Mizrahi is getting ready to move on to the world of Liz Claiborne. The deal was sealed in January and Issac is now
showing off his sporty collection filled with color and fresh cuts such as the safari-inspired designs, seen below.

"Karmic and cosmic" is how Tara Subkoff describes
her new position as the artistic director of FORM's Spring '09 collection.
FORM founder Jerry Tam, the first one ousted from this season of
Project Runway, had ties with Subkoff in the past as her intern at Imitation of Christ. "It's so great to be able to support one of my first interns at such a crucial time,"
said Subkoff.
Despite FORM's angular past, the new designs are said to encompass softer lines that were inspired by the Rococo movement using gauze, cottons, and silks.

Two fashion worlds collided in a recent collaboration between Louis Vuitton and Rei Kawakubo. The Japanese designer behind Comme des Garçons, known for her simple and avant-garde styling, has designed an exclusive collection of evening bags for the monogram heavy luxury label.
“Due to our clever coordination, I anticipate that the wall between us will disappear. Funnily enough, I have never actually bought anything [at Vuitton], but I probably will buy a party bag next week,”
said Kawakubo .
