You listening? Target has announced two amazing accessories collaborations: a hat collection with Eugenia Kim and a footwear line with Cynthia Vincent. This will be Cynthia Vincent's first time designing a budget-friendly line and Eugenia's second, following her teamup with Urban Outfitters. Details are to be determined, but we do know both collections will bow online and in stores on April 18 - nice!

Fab Flash: Paris Mayor Honours Alber Elbaz

Lanvin's creative director Alber Elbaz was honoured in Paris on Friday by the city's Mayor, Bertrand Delanoë. Bertrand presented Alber with the Grande Médaille de Vermeil de la Ville de Paris which is an honour given to cultural figures who have an impact on the city.

Alber thanked Ralph Toledano from Chloé for “opening the doors to Paris” and Lanvin owner Shaw-Lan Wang for welcoming him to his current position where he has been for eight years. He commented on the reasons why he loves Paris saying, “There’s so many things. It’s a dream city and it’s a city of dreamers.” Congratulations Alber!

Kate Moss is Branded as "Irresponsible" for Skinny Comments

When Kate Moss gave an interview to WWD about her new fragrance, I was pretty shocked to hear her reveal one of her mottoes – "nothing tastes as good as skinny feels". It seems to have been a bit of a slow burner in the news, but today it has landed the model in trouble as eating disorder charity Beat described the comments as "dangerous" and "very unhelpful".

Storm models released a statement saying that Kate's comments had "been taken out of context and completely misrepresented." They also added, "For the record - Kate does not support this as a lifestyle choice."

Former model Caprice has spoken out against Kate saying, "I don't even know why she said that. I really like her but it's so irresponsible." The saying is strongly associated with eating disorders and regularly appears on pro-anorexia websites.

In recent years there has been a lot of campaigns in place to tackle the so-called "size zero" including one set up by former Ultimo model Katie Green. She also branded Kate as "irresponsible" for her comments adding, "We are trying to get the government to put something in place to stamp out size zero models and comments like this aren't doing anything to help that." Do you think that Kate should know better, or do you believe that she has been misrepresented?

Lauren Conrad's Literary Journey Continues

Who knew LC was going to go from The Hills to fashion design back to The Hills and then into the literary world? Works for me. Now that the ex-Hills star has more time on her hands, she has added another project to her budding book club. LA Candy was released earlier this year, and next year we have a style guide to listen to. Titled Lauren Conrad Style, the fashion guide is slated for Fall 2010. Conrad shared: "I think fashion should be fun and reflective of who you are," she says. "I know this guide will offer simple, practical tips to help anyone look fabulous." Plus, LA Candy's sequel Sweet Little Lies in due out Feb. 2. Thoughts?

Fab Flash: Marks and Spencers in Trouble Over TV Advert

Marks and Spencer have landed in hot water this festive season over their ad campaign below. The TV advert stars many British celebrities including Twiggy, Stephen Fry and Myleene Klass, but it's the appearance of Ashes to Ashes actor Philip Glenister which has ruffled feathers. The Advertising Standards Authority is reportedly looking in to complaints over the ad which has been branded as "sexist". At one point Glenister says, "Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without that girl prancing around in her underwear," before cutting to a shot of French lingerie model Noemie Lenoir.

A spokesperson for M&S told the BBC, "We're surprised by the ASA complaints regarding Philip Glenister's appearance in our TV ad. Our research shows that his on-screen character in Ashes to Ashes is extremely popular with our customers and his lines in the ad are in keeping with that role." Do you agree with the complaints or do you think this is a case of viewers being over-sensitive?

Alicia Keys - From Songstress to Jewelry Maven

Alicia Keys can belt out a mean tune, and now she's about to show her talent in jewelry design. The singer, along with Gisèle Theriault, has launched a sterling silver and gemstone line called The Barber's Daughters. What makes it special is each piece is inscribed with author Masaru Emoto's poetry and prayers. The goal is "to give people beautiful, unique pieces with messages that ignite them to find the best within," Alicia said. Retail prices start at $85 and go up to $2,500 - peruse the extensive collection.

Fab Flash: Stella McCartney for GapKids Part 2

Stella McCartney's first ever childrenswear collection landed in Gap stores across the globe earlier this month and has already been so successful that they've snapped her up for another.

The British designer who had previously had a sell-out womenswear collaboration with H&M, created on trend yet practical items for kids which adults wanted for themselves. The best selling item from the line was a military jacket for boys.

Stella will now go on to create another line for Gap Kids and Gap Baby for the Spring which will be available from March 2010. I can't wait to see what she designs, are you glad Stella is doing another collection for Gap?

Michelle! Claudia! Two More Celebrity Fashion Lines in the Works

The celebrity designer wheel keeps on turning. The latest star to join the club is Gossip Girl Michelle Trachtenberg. She is teaming up with Coach to design a costume jewelry line under its Poppy label - faux pearls and colorful crystals hit stores in the Spring.

Though there isn't an official deal in the works, Super Claudia Schiffer has also expressed interest in designing. "I have no definite first product in mind, but I would love to do cashmere. It's something I wear all the time myself, but I'd love to do something a bit more price-friendly. . . . Or I could imagine doing handbags," she said. Cool, but not everyone is thrilled with these celebrity designer deals. According to fashion writer Robin Givhan, "I can't imagine Donna Karan saying I'm going to cut an album because her friends say she can sing karaoke." Ouch. Do you agree?

Claudia Schiffer Wants to Launch Clothing Line

Claudia Schiffer has been in the fashion business for 21 years. The German born supermodel has been sharing her wisdom on the industry with the world at the IHT Luxury Conference in Berlin. The event which has seen insiders like Christopher Bailey, Jefferson Hack and Natalie Massenet taking to the stand to talk about the changing role of social media.

Claudia talked about her desire to remain modeling for "as long as possible", but expressed an interest in developing her own clothing line. “I have no definite first product in mind, but I would love to do cashmere. It’s something I wear all the time myself, but I’d love to do something a bit more price-friendly. Plus a lot of cashmere lines are very classic and timeless, while I’d want to do it a bit more fashion. Or I could imagine doing handbags.”

Angelina and Brad Design High-End Jewelry With Asprey

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have tackled a lot together - namely, a growing family. A high-end jewelry line is the latest. Dubbed The Protector, it's inspired by snakes because Angelina considers the reptile a protector of her family. Here at the BAFTA Awards in February, she gave us a sneak peek of the line by wearing the serpent bracelet.

The duo's jewelry line has been in the works for more than a year but will finally debut later this week at Asprey stores in London, New York, Beverly Hills, Tokyo and Dubai. A silver baby spoon with a serpent-shaped handle, retailing for $525, will benefit Education Partnership for Children of Conflict, co-founded by Angelina. Black diamond and emerald pavé rings, earrings, bracelets, men’s cuff links, and studs are also part of the line. This is one celebrity designer collaboration I didn't see coming. Did you?
