Just when I was jonesing for some Target, they unveil their latest handbag collaboration collection. We announced Hayden-Harnett for Target a while ago, and now we have pics of the goods. Hayden maintained its signature tough style, with detailing like grommets, chains, and brass hardware. Colors are everyday black and brown, with a festive print thrown in. From satchels to shoulder bags to clutches to an umbrella (cute), mark your calendar for Dec. 28.

Fab Flash: Hayden-Harnett Gets Hotter

In addition to designing an exclusive line for Target, acccessory brand Hayden-Harnett will add a shoe and swimwear collection to their 2009 Spring collection.

“The designs are definitely '80s influenced, specifically 1980 and 1981. It’s very ‘Working Girl’ meets ‘Xanadu’ meets Memphis design. Women in New York City don’t have cars, we have shoes. I have decided to simply refuse to compromise style for comfort or vice versa” said Toni Hacker, cofounder and designer of Hayden-Harnett.

The six style swimwear line, ranging from $88 to $148, will include fun ruffled bottoms and keyhole maillots in their signature prints.

Life's a Beach: Weekender

It's not good enough when someone says TGIF. I want a Saturday morning sleep in, an egg in a raft, and a perfect day poolside. Catch my drift? To be a weekender is to be in (temporary) bliss. True, two days is never enough, but when you have some fun in the works, pack it up and pack it up cutely - per Tory Burch Resort (left), who certainly knows what weekends are made of. When was the last time you bought a bright duffel or bold beach bag? Too long, I'm sure . . .

Fab's July Most Wanted

Usually by the time July rolls around I'm in full Summer mode and take a break from shopping. It's true. I let the Summer sales fly by and start to anticipate (and save up!) for my Fall wardrobe. While I advocate shopping every day, everyone has their limits and I have reached mine, for now. That doesn't mean I can't window shop though. Here are some items that whisper summertime: sweet sunshine and salty breezes.

J.Crew St. Tropez ring bandeau & bottoms in white, $90. It's been a while since I bought a J.Crew bikini but they've always served me well. I'm jonesing for the perfect white bikini - and I think I found it!
Geren Ford Silk Contrast Tee, on sale for $138 (originally $230). I've been eying this modern top for a while now, and it's finally on sale, hmmm...
Hayden-Harnett Ibiza Convertible Flight Tote in Red, $198, is so juicy. I rarely come across a red bag I like, and this manages to be sophisticated and functional.
Apparently I have a thing for Kors shoes (you may recall last month's Most Wanted). These KORS Michael Kors Gypsy sandals, $152, are so adorable - they remind me of Saltwater sandals from back in the day!
This Dior Diorette Yellow Gold Ring, $5,550, is totally not in the cards price-wise, but I love this Dior collection of jewelry. It's so whimsical and fun.

Paule Marrot Meets Hayden-Harnett Handbags

Brooklyn based handbag duo Hayden-Harnett have created a limited edition line inspired by Paule Marrot's signature prints. Largely popular in the middle of the last century, Jackie Kennedy was an admirer, these classic prints mesh very nicely with Hayden-Harnett's buttery leather bags. There are several designs to choose from and my pick is this Mosaique Convertible Hobo in Khaki, $545, which features a leather applique pattern and an exclusive Paule Marrot-designed print lining (I'm a sucker for fun linings). It also has great interior organization - which is helpful with a deep design like this. I love a dose of boho chic via a great handbag.

Hayden-Harnett: Giving Me a Heart Attack With the Catalina Laptop Bag

At the risk of sounding predictable: I need this. Hayden-Harnett is obviously slowly trying to drive me nuts, because first it was the Ibiza bag, and now this, the leather Catalina laptop bag.

It costs a painful $437, but look at it. Sumptuous leather, a crossbody strap (which makes it look chic, not messenger bag-ish), and a slouchy style that announces to the world, "World! I have fabulous laptop bags!"
