When it comes to spirits, I don't discriminate. It really depends on my mood, but I enjoy vodka, gin, tequila, whiskey, and everything in between equally. When I was younger, my go-to shot was tequila; however, now that I'm a little more refined, I like to shoot whiskey!
Love It or Hate It? Spool Side Table
Ballard Designs' new Spool Side Table ($199) was inspired by actual spools used by French rope makers to display and sell their natural fiber manila rope. Crafted of mango wood and authentic manila rope, it's not the bulky side table it appears to be: its top lifts off for storage. While this design is quite clever to me, with an antiquey meets nautical vibe, I think I'd rather own the real thing.

West Elm just introduced this new Knit Ruffle Bolster ($34), a knit cotton pillow cover with a delicate fringed ruffle trim. I think it's adorable, and I love pearl and deep purple palette; très Chanel, n'est-ce pas? But the thing is, it doesn't seem very West Elm!
