Look of the Day: Mod Nautical
I've tried the nautical look, I've tried the mod look, but I've yet to do the mod nautical combo. Fashionave921 exemplifies this look to perfection with her thigh-high gray tights, blue jumper, and yellow cardi. I'm smitten with her saltwater sandals, and her white belt cinches the whole look together.

This week's Look Book showed signs of Summer — bare legs, short skirts, sandals. My favorites are sassy in Sydney, bikini babe, casual cute, edgy glamor, statement necklace, and sail away. I've long missed the sailorette look, that's why femmeriots's outfit stood out from the bunch.

Look of the Day: Stripes and Tweed
High waisted shorts are having a bit of a moment so Sugar reader Hebden is bang on trend with this ensemble. She teamed the vintage item with a nautical striped t-shirt and a tweed jacket.
With tights to keep her legs warm it's a great Spring outfit and can easily be adapted for the warmer months.

The nautical trend is never far away, seeming to re-emerge every season. For Spring 2009 it's taking on footwear with casual espadrilles, striped flats, and funky heels.
It's no secret that I'm a Stella McCartney fan, but these nautical heels with cute boat print detail (£387) leave me literally weak at the knees.

Trend Alert: Nautical Bikini
It's bikini season again (I know, it always comes round too quickly) which means the stores are packed with various swimwear items. Whilst on her honeymoon, Coleen showed off an impressive range of bikinis mainly sticking to solid bright colours.
However, I like to have more fun with swimwear so one of my favourite trends this Summer is the continuation of of sailor chic as bikinis get taken over by stars and stripes.
Dress Me Up: Come Sail Away
A pair of perfect navy blue sailor pants miraculously made their way into my life recently and have inspired me to bring out my inner sailor-ette, full force. The nautical trend has long been a part of fashion history — hello, Jean Paul Gaultier — but these perfect pants make me want to come sail away, and Shopbop's nautical selection is allowing me to do just that. Won't you join me on my proverbial ship by incorporating anchors, stripes (a la 3.1 Phillip Lim's resort line, left), and brass buttons into your closet?
Cheap & Chic: Nautical Navy & White
While Gabrielle Union's infectious smile draws me in, her nautical navy and white Laila Azhar dress keeps me there. The Summer season calls for sailing and sailing calls for a nautical outfit.
