Glitterati: Gold Peacock Necklace by Zoe & Morgan

Peacocks, in my opinion, are by far the most stylish of the birds. They sport bright colours all year round and even have a tiny mohawk (or fascinator) on top of their head meaning they'll never be outdone.

No surprise then that they have such a strong influence over the fashion world. Last month I told you about peacock earrings which are now available all over the High Street. Now I have found this ever-so-stylish Zoe & Morgan gold peacock necklace (£186).

It features two peacocks and feathers stretching round to create an almost circular pendant. It would look great with a plunging neckline or even over a high necked jumper. What do you think?

If you're a fan of Gok's Fashion Fix then you're probably already familiar with this necklace that featured in his Sex and the City inspired challenge last week.

He teamed the necklace with a dress constructed from two Warehouse skirts and cute knee high socks.

The necklace, by Punky Pins features three small pendants representing New York including a small 'I heart NY' one. The funky piece of jewellery is available for just £15.

There is also an adorable Paris necklace featuring the eiffel tower and a 'Je t'aime' pendant also for £15.

I'm a bit picky about jewellery, it's usually got to be a massive diamond or something a bit quirky (think Tatty Devine, Anna Lou etc). So when I came across this necklace I wasn't sure how I felt about it! It is very bopo and definitely a statement piece. It's £20 from Accessorize but do you love it, or hate it?

There's been a lot of necklace talk in the fashionsphere so I say, why wait for Fall, jump on the fun trend now. I love long necklaces for a variety of reasons: they're sophisticated, fun, and can be worn multiple ways. Take this 1950s extra-long necklace ($39) with goldtone chain and white glass beads. Drape it over anything and it adds instant glamour. Or, wrap it around multiple times for a dense choker. Gold and white never looked so fresh.

Lil Tip: A Nursing Strike Pointer

Three months into nursing, my daughter decided to go on a nursing strike. When the baby rejects the breast for anywhere between two days to three weeks, it's typically called a nursing strike. And, unfortunately, bottle-fed babies aren't immune to strikes.

My lil one decided to go for a record breaker and tortured me for close to three weeks. It was a nightmare. She wouldn't take a bottle, sippy cup or a regular cup. I even resorted to a medicine dropper, which was not fun or effective.

Before I lost my sanity, I went to visit a lactation consultant. She thought it was evident that my babe was too interested in the world around her to take time to eat. So she gave me some advice - to wear a big colorful necklace so my baby had something to focus on and play with instead of just boring old me. Thankfully, the tip worked and my lil angel returned.
