One shoulder tops are the absolute way to show off just the right amount of skin. And with Fall rearing its head, I see no other opportune way to sport this trend. I immediately fell for this simple, yet sleek Elizabeth and James One-Shoulder Tee ($115). No doubt, a sophisticated choice for years to come, but there has to be something cheaper out there.

This Topshop One-Shoulder Tunic ($36) is more up my alley. It's affordable and just as slick. The description suggested I pair it with a long cardi and funky heels. I think I will - thanks for the tip!

Trend Alert: One Shoulder Top

One of the great things about Summertime is that you get more choice over what to wear. In the winter months you have to wear a big jumper and a coat, so nobody gets to see the effort you make with the rest of your outfit! One shoulder tops are just one of the new Summer items which allow a bit of variation and let you reveal a bit of flesh.

They can be simple and plain, produced from jersey fabric like this Topshop version (£12) or more elaborate like Vivienne Westwood's take on the trend (£242). There are also some great pleated versions which offer a softer take on the style, for example, at Warehouse there is a twist top which would look nice with skinny jeans.

I know this type of top often leaves people divided, but will you wear a one shoulder top?

One way to show off your Grecian prowess is in a sexy one-shoulder dress. I like how this Black Halo One-Shoulder Mini Jackie Dress ($345) incorporates the sassy with the sophisticated. The skinny belt adds a nice feminine touch and I adore the straight bust line. One-shoulders fade in and out of the fashion cycle, so I would like to spend a lot less on this trend.

This Arden B. One-Shoulder Pencil Dress ($118) works well with my budget. It has the same shape and neckline, and I like the pleated foldover bust. The belt is black instead of white, but I can always switch it out.

March Shopping Madness: Grecian Splendor

Grecian splendor will never go out of style because beautiful things never expire. Just ask drape-happy Rami Kashou from Project Runway. Although he overdid it, you can't deny that draped and one-shoulder styles are the closest we'll ever get to being a goddess . . . at least in this lifetime!

Kate Beckinsale recently channeled her inner goddess at a red carpet event in an Alberta Ferretti embellished Grecian gown. Like her, and many other red-carpet stars, let's dress like the goddesses we are.
