With Cruise '10 in full effect, let's stop and evaluate the latest. Frocks and skirts dominated, but what really caught my eye were clean, lean trousers — quite the opposite of crazy harem pants. Instead, trousers ranged from cropped and loose-fitting to tight and body-con.

Cruise collections are so delightful. Not only do they get you in the spirit of Summer, most creations are actually wearable, and if you're like me, easy to re-create. This round varies from flirty to dazzling thanks to Monique Lhuillier's indulgent creations.

I absolutely adore Michelle Williams's quirky street style — her pea coats are Fab — but Michelle in a dress is an equally lovely sight. On her way to the 2009 Fresh Air Fund Salute to American Heroes event at Tavern on the Green in NYC, the actress wore a gorgeous ivory, one-shoulder Phillip Lim dress with gold stud detailing. Not too short, not too long, not too fitted, not too loose; just right.

Finally, some good news. If you have a subscription to WWD, you probably wake up every day to another company reporting negative profits. After months and months, it's quite the downer.

Some people look good dressed up, some people look good dressed down, some people — like Kate Bosworth — look good both ways. The actress shined on the Met Gala red carpet and here she is standing out on the streets of New York. Her Phillip Lim jumpsuit is modern, while her quirky accessories are vintage inspired.

Like the ice cream, sorbet blazers are sweet, sticky, and just right for Summer. Notice how these colorful blazers make a crisp statement without going overboard. The trick to pulling this off is pairing it with a simple bottom and minimal accessories.

Help! I have a case of the Spring shopping itch. Just when I thought I was done swiping my card, I come across Cusp.com.

Lauren Conrad and her The Hills posse attended PaleyFest09, all of them looking red-carpet ready. But Lauren, who is in the process of designing a line for Kohl's, stood out by far in her citrus tiered-ruffled Phillip Lim dress. Though the dress doesn't include a belt, I'm glad Lauren cinched it with a tan one because it prevented yellow overkill.

What I find appealing about Kristen is that she looks equally good in girlie dresses as she does in baggy khakis — that's no easy fashion feat. The actress attended the Armani Exchange watch launch party last night in a borrowed-from-the-boys ensemble that consists of a loose Ikat Phillip Lim top and rolled up baggy khakis. Doesn't she pull this off effortlessly?
