Project Runway Season Six: Meet the Designers!
After a heated lawsuit and months of waiting, the designers of Project Runway season six are finally here! This season of Runway — the first to air on Lifetime — finished filming at New York Fashion Week back in February, and we'll finally get to see it August 20. Today, Lifetime revealed first looks at the 16 designers who soon will be whipping up clothes from odd materials and taking advice from Tim Gunn on our TV screens.

Do You Think Project Runway Can Succeed on Lifetime?
We're less than two months away from the launch of Project Runway on Lifetime, and while part of me won't believe the long-lost season six actually exists till it's on my TV on Aug. 20, the network's PR machine is already trying to whip up some enthusiasm. But while I've generally been feeling positive about the show's move to Lifetime — hey, at least it's airing somewhere — this new ad gives me pause.
The Fashion Show Can't Beat Project Runway in the Ratings
I gave Bravo's The Fashion Show the ol' college try, but the show just hasn't pulled me in — and a lot of you aren't sold, either. So you might not be shocked to learn that so far, The Fashion Show hasn't been stepping into Project Runway's big shoes in terms of ratings.
Runway finished off its Bravo run last year averaging four million viewers an episode; thus far, The Fashion Show is averaging under one million viewers.
Project Runway's Rami Kashou Has a Home at HSN
Project Runway's Rami Kashou took his designs to the web a while ago, but now you can also find them on HSN. While his strapless jumpsuit is questionable, this Rami Kashou for Curations One-Shoulder Jersey Dress ($165), which comes in a bevy of colors, has potential. The asymmetrical neckline, the dropped waist, and the slit in the sleeve make it special.
Look Book Love: Project Runway's Leanne Marshall, Fall '09
Cities and Skylines. That's what Project Runway season five winner Leanne Marshall calls her Fall '09 collection. "This collection was inspired by the repetitive skyline of my new home-base, New York City, and the fantasy of glamour that one has when moving to a big metropolis," she explains on her website.

Christian Siriano's success has skyrocketed since Project Runway, and so have his prices. Take for instance this Christian Siriano Silk Chiffon One Shoulder Dress ($2,950) — Siriano is now sold at Intermix, btw. I love the color combination and frothy silk layers, but the price is pretty hard to swallow.
