Do You Agree With This Week's Project Runway Winner and Loser?

This week's Project Runway took me by surprise for a couple reasons. First, I definitely wasn't expecting it to be the last episode before Bryant Park as there were five contestants still competing. Keyword: were. Last night Heidi and Co. auf'd two designers to give us our final three. The second thing that took me by surprise was that they cut a designer whose dress they actually liked. Something smells fishy. Ultimately, I am happy with the chosen three, even if I didn't necessarily agree with the judges' critiques last night. What did you think?

Do You Approve of Project Runway's Final Three?

Last night's Project Runway challenge wasn't necessarily the hardest, but it was the most pressure-filled. It was the last stop before Bryant Park - the remaining five designers were asked to create a look inspired by the Getty Museum in LA. Art, architecture, nature, and furniture all provided fodder for their work. I wasn't blown away by any of the looks, but in the end, Carol Hannah, Irina, and Althea won. Christopher and Gordana were sent home. Do you approve of the final three? Do they have the chops to blow us away at New York Fashion Week? Michael Kors disappeared from the judges panel on this week's Project Runway, so season two alum Nick Verreos and actress Kerry Washington took his place. The challenge was to craft a companion look for each contestant's best look (not winning look, sadly, because Logan hadn't won a challenge). The winner and loser didn't necessarily surprise me, but the whininess of Althea and Irina irritated me to no end. I was glad that Nick noted how easy it was to cull inspiration from each other in the small group. Either way, do you think the winner deserved the win and the loser deserved the booting?

Project Runway guest judge Milla Jovovich teared up at the end of this week's episode when the losing contestant was eliminated, and it was just one of the many bright spots of this week's destination-as-inspiration challenge. For one thing, Micheal Kors and Nina Garcia were up on the judging panel together, at the same time! I wasn't really blown away by the winner's look, but the losing outfit - and its maker - were more than ready to get the boot, in my opinion.

What did you think about this week's episode (besides how adorable Milla was)? Are you happy about the contestants left in the top six?

Which Project Runway Famous Locale Look Is Most Fab?

The remaining seven Project Runway designers are asked to create an outfit inspired by a famous locale. Greece, St. Tropez, Aspen, Hollywood, New York City, and Santa Fe are the choices. Create a look that certainly embodies who you are as a designer, but also embraces that locale," Tim Gunn advises. The three who do precisely that were Irina (left), Gordana (center), and Althea (right). Seeing as Irina is experienced in outerwear, having Aspen gives her an edge, and she wins. Gordana's airy gray dress is inspired by NYC, while Althea's is so St. Tropez. All three are impressive, but which is most Fab?

Rate the Project Runway! Stage Looks For Christina Aguilera

Last night's Project Runway - appropriately called "Sequins, Feathers, and Fur. Oh My!" - was one of the most exciting. Even the designers admitted so. The challenge was to create an over-the-top stage look for Christina Aguilera, inspired by legendary designer, the sultan of sequins, Bob Mackie. Many welcomed the challenge and did a great job, while a few let fear get in the way. Nicolas and Althea scored high, but Carol Hannah won thanks to her sophisticated, textured black gown (left). Do You Agree With This Week's Project Runway Winner and Loser?

This week's Project Runway brought on a legendary stage costume designer who loves to use sequins and glitz (Bob Mackie) and a star who loves to wear them (Christina Aguilera). It also marked the triumphant return of Nina Garcia on the judging panel, who's been mostly absent this season. Her judging and critique are such a comfort to hear (and I would have paid Tim Gunn to tell someone "Don't bore Nina!").

The winner is someone I felt was particularly deserving this round, and the loser is someone I was a little surprised to see go. What did you think of the judging?
