Naomi Campbell has everyone talking again. The once-PETA poster girl has hooked up with fur designer Dennis Basso to model his Fall '09 ad campaign. "During these economic times, we wanted to take the opportunity to be noticed — to show we are here and here to stay," Basso said.
Fab Ad: Christy Turlington For Yves Saint Laurent Fall '09
For Yves Saint Laurent's Fall '09 campaign, Stefano Pilati channeled the '90s with the help of Christy — no last name needed. Check out the Super, decked out in all black, standing against a simplistic background shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. Christy's makeup and shimmery halter jumpsuit are very throwback, very old school — I'm not sure how I feel about it.
Fab Ad: Gucci Fall '09
Anja Rubik is quite the popular cat these days. She worked a sequined mini in Giuseppe Zanotti's Spring ads, seriously rocked Kaufman Franco at the CFDAs, and now she's Gucci's girl for Fall. What you see here is some slick black-on-black action: black background, black stud dress, black sandals, black bracelet, and of course, the reason for this ad, the black crocodile Gucci bag.
Celebrity Style: Claudia Schiffer
The eternally stylish Claudia Schiffer took her kids to school in an ensemble that's fresh, feminine, with a slight '70s flair. The supermodel tucked her airy sheer Malene Birger lavender blouse into a pair of light-wash, high-waist jeans and dressed her feet up with nude flat sandals. A purple and white YSL bag matches without going overboard, while her gold locket and Dolce and Gabbana glasses serve as cool finishing touches.
