They say that naughty visuals are hidden in many of the Disney films, but I have yet to find them. I can't say the same for this version of The Little Mermaid, in which Ariel openly sings of her dirrty wants, fantasies and STDs. Whoever rewrote this song has poor Walt Disney rolling over in his grave. Is nothing sacred?! (Thanks, College Humor!)

Shiloh, Pax, Maddox and Zahara Visit Ariel on Broadway

Your second favorite Oscar couple, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, brought their four older kids to see The Little Mermaid on Broadway in NYC last night. Pax brought his drink to go after the show as he held onto dad's hand. Little blondie Shiloh hitched a ride in Brad's arms. Angelina brought up the rear with Maddox the fashion plate and Zahara. The twins are too little to enjoy the lively performance, but hopefully Knox and Vivienne will make it a whole family affair soon while the family settles into New York for the time being.

Katie Brings Suri to Be Part of Your World

Katie Holmes isn't making her Broadway debut until September, but little Suri isn't about to wait. The girls headed to the theater last night to catch a showing of The Little Mermaid, which I'm thinking is a slightly different experience than sitting through Arthur Miller's All My Sons anyway. Once again Suri had on her fancy gold shoes, but this time it was Katie whose glammed up look was quite the exception to the casual baggy jeans we've gotten so used to recently.

Mermaid waves never go out of style, even at Fashion Week, so it's not a surprise that for the Proenza Schouler show, Frédéric Fekkai lead stylist Didier Malige was inspired by California surfer girls' tousled hair. The look was totally sexy, a little wild, and surprisingly easy to do. (And if you're so inclined, you can even spritz on a little purple and green temporary hair color to mimic the style worn by some of the models.) Britney Brings JJ and SP to Visit Shrek on Broadway

Britney Spears brought her boys for yet another Broadway show in NYC last night. This time they went to check out Shrek the Musical after taking in The Little Mermaid on Sunday. Sean Preston and Jayden James have had quite the week in the Big Apple including shopping with mom and checking out Central Park. Britney's tour heads to Boston this weekend before making her way south and back across the country, but her boys could be back in Manhattan soon if she brings them along for a trip to the VMAs again this year.

Britney and Her Boys Take in a Different Show

Britney Spears and her dad took Sean Preston and Jayden James to see The Little Mermaid on Broadway yesterday evening. Their family is in Manhattan ahead of Britney's Madison Square Garden performances, which are taking place over the next three nights as the singer resumes her tour again after a break. No matter what city she's in, Brit seems to be prioritizing keeping her boys entertained with new cultural experiences while they travel together.

Paris Hilton Makes a Splash

First she was just Paris. Then she was a cancan dancer. After that, a fairy! And now, Paris Hilton is dressed like a topless mermaid to promote her next fragrance.

Either Paris is a big fan of The Little Mermaid (likely) or she's been inspired by Greek mythology (not as likely), because her next scent is called Siren. WWD reports that the fruity floral scent, due out next month, was inspired by mermaids. "Siren is all about being sexy in a playful way. I feel irresistible as a mermaid," Paris said. "What girl doesn’t want to have fun being a fantasy creature that men can’t resist?" (It should be said that in The Odyssey, sirens lured men in, then left their flesh to rot. Paris's interpretation of Homer is far more glamorous.)

The eau de parfum ($45-55) and body lotion $28) will debut at Macy's next month. The scent, as WWD describes it, has "top notes of juicy mandarin, apricot nectar, and frangipani, with a heart of honeysuckle, coconut orchid and water lily. The drydown consists of vanilla beans, sandalwood and creamy musk." Will you hear the call of Paris's Siren, or has that ship sailed for you?

Get your walking shoes on and prepare to see the bright lights of some of our nation's biggest cities! Families looking to explore the culture and variety that urban centers offer can do so in the comfort of their own homes with projects and foods that celebrate the metropolitan destinations. Our week of big-city "Non Voyages" kicks off in the largest one of all – New York City.

Start the morning off with Eloise's favorite mealtime delight - room service. Kids will love seeing their breakfast served bedside.
Lady Liberty has long been a hot spot for families visiting the Big Apple and the just reopened crown provides great inspiration for tots. There are 354 steps from the base to the top of the statue. Have kids try to stack that many blocks to see the height. And, use construction paper to create your own crown hats.
The Museum of Natural History is known for its dinosaur exhibit so put together some 3D dinosaur puzzles and study the giants.
Even though it's not as bright as the lights of Times Square, check to see if there are any local theater productions that appeal to your tots. Introducing children to theater is wonderful even if you're way off Broadway! Or, prepare for a marathon of Disney movies including The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, and Mary Poppins, all of which are currently playing in the Big Apple.
They say there's a great pizza shop on every corner of New York. Get down to business in the kitchen and create the ultimate thin-crust pie. Just be sure to eat it like a New Yorker – folded down the middle with the grease dripping off.
