Sophie Theallet Signs on to Collaborate With The Limited

Sophie Theallet has teamed up with The Limited, and will offer a Holiday capsule collection at most of the retail chain's stores come November.

Sophie Theallet has teamed up with The Limited, and will offer a Holiday capsule collection at most of the retail chain's stores come November.

In her position as the brand's exclusive guest designer, Theallet said she wanted to bring "the luxurious nonchalance of my aesthetic to an affordable price point." And while details on what the products will look like — or how much they will cost — weren't clear when the collaboration was announced on Monday, Theallet is committed to placing an emphasis on quality. "I like that challenge . . . to make the best product possible," she said.

The designer's contract with The Limited is slated to extend beyond the Holiday collection. The retail chain's CEO Linda Heasley said Theallet "has exquisite taste, and is genuine and approachable, which we love."

Theallet has collaborated with mass-market brands before. She worked with The Gap after winning the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Award in 2009, and last year created a line of shoes and handbags for Nine West.

Zoe Saldana made an easy ensemble super-chic with a few standout pieces. We love the buttery feel of her chocolate leather jacket ($144, originally $205) and the great standout collar. As a contrast, we'd layer a Springy button-down blouse underneath, then finish just the way Zoe did — with a cool pair of leopard-print pumps ($90) and the same DVF hobo. Just as we expected, we spied a very chic Olivia Palermo making her way around NYFW. Sporting the wide-leg trend with a pair of black and white checkered pants, she adds a hint of color via a bright pink top ($180) and beats the chill with a cozy-chic anorak. Then, Olivia shows off her knack for accessorizing, finishing with a croc clutch, leopard-print belt ($20), and fur collar. Just click the items above to shop a similar ensemble.

Trend Alert: Sheer Dots

Jessica Szohr upped the ante with a black on black pairing just by adding cool sheer dots.

Jessica Szohr upped the ante with a black on black pairing just by adding cool sheer dots. While we love polka dots on the vibrant side, we're loving the new way to wear them — with a little sweet subtlety. On sheer fabrics, dots just seem to float, soft and pretty, and even edgy if you wear them as Jessica does. In fact, you can snag her top for yourself via Madewell ($128), or shop another sheer-dotted style.

A leopard print Coach bag ($98) is a little extra fun, and gold and black jewels finish off the strut-worthy street wear. Click the items above to shop a similar look.

Olivia Palermo never fails to dazzle, so it's no wonder she was in attendance at Us Weekly's bash for the 25 most stylish New Yorkers. In a shoulder-accented, creamy Marchesa, she's quite the fashion darling. Black accessories, like a studded clutch ($295) and ribbon belt (you can always create your own with a satin ribbon), play chic opposites, and a gold ring ($22) and jeweled bracelet provide the pretty details.
