Met Gala: Blake Lively

She didn't go punk, per se, but Blake Lively did deliver some serious glamour on tonight's Met Gala red carpet.

She didn't go punk, per se, but Blake Lively did deliver some serious glamour on tonight's Met Gala red carpet. The actress — and face of Gucci Première — had a bombshell moment in a curve-conscious, strapless Gucci confection, adorned with silver and matte black feather motif embroideries. She added to the drama with a pair of fringed earrings, which she showcased with swept-back hair. Are you a fan of Blake's look tonight?

Here's the Trailer For James Franco's Gucci Documentary

"When I was a child, I saw myself becoming a mother with a beautiful family," says Gucci creative director Frida Giannini in the trailer for James Franco's new documentary, The Director.

"When I was a child, I saw myself becoming a mother with a beautiful family," says Gucci creative director Frida Giannini in the trailer for James Franco's new documentary, The Director. "I never imagined a life like this."

Perhaps another thing she never imagined was a camera crew following her around to create as intimate a documentary as this one, which Franco debuted late last week at the Tribeca Film Festival. Over the course of 18 months, cameras followed Giannini from collection fittings to model castings to create a vivid portrait of her work and her place in Gucci's rich history. And in the trailer, she admits that her public life has taken some getting used to to.

"At the beginning, of course, I felt this pressure because I prefer to work behind the scenes," she says. "I prefer to work with my team in my office with the fabrics and the colors."

A look at Giannini — in the office and in her world — in the video below.

It's a Girl! Gucci's Frida Giannini Welcomes Her First Child

Talk about perfect timing.

Talk about perfect timing. Less than three weeks after taking her bow at Gucci's Fall 2013 show, Frida Giannini has given birth to a girl.

Giannini and her partner, Gucci CEO Patrizio di Marco, delivered their new daughter on March 2 and named her Greta. A spokesman from the brand told Vogue UK, "Both mother and baby are doing well."

Giannini and di Marco announced they were expecting a child last November, but the excitement of the new addition hasn't slowed down the designer's schedule. She's expected to go on maternity leave until it's time to work on her upcoming menswear collection, which will be presented in June.

Gucci Fall 2013

Gucci's woman for Fall 2013 is strong, powerful, confident — and a little dangerous to boot.

Gucci's woman for Fall 2013 is strong, powerful, confident — and a little dangerous to boot. The brand's pregnant creative director Frida Giannini took ladylike shapes and subverted them with hard-edged, forthrightly sexy materials and styling. This offering had no shortage of pieces cut from patent or python, but a simple suit in plain black leather, nipped in at the waist, made perhaps one of the strongest statements of the show. Elsewhere, scaled-up houndstooth prints made for an interesting use of pattern, while sheer panels and plunging necklines exposed daring amounts of skin. The evening gowns, most of them dark, were accented with attention-getting swirls of feathers and fringe. Altogether, it's a look that requires discipline and serious backbone — but it's nothing the Gucci woman can't handle.

Gucci Fall 2013 Runway

Who says being ladylike can't be utterly sexy, too?
Gucci Runway | Fashion Week Fall 2013 Photos

Who says being ladylike can't be utterly sexy, too? Not any showgoer at the Gucci Fall '13 collection this morning in Milan. An exaggerated graphic houndstooth print provided the foundation for a cheekier kind of midi-length office uniform, while pencil-skirt suits featured vampy V-neck dips, thigh-high slits, and dark reptilian finishes. Of course, it was the eveningwear that left us wanting more, a true mark of designer Frida Giannini's work at hand. Silky black, mauve, and signature Gucci green floor-length gowns — and jumpsuits — were punctuated with sheer fishnet, feathers, and fringe-embellished bodices, offering up a look both seductive and exotic. Our bet's on Emma Stone laying claim to one of these creations first, and we hope we're right.

Katy Perry Dons Not One but Two Green Guccis at the Grammys — Which Do You Prefer?

Katy Perry clearly had green and Gucci on her brain last night at the Grammys.

Katy Perry clearly had green and Gucci on her brain last night at the Grammys. First, she played up her sex appeal in a mint-green gown with an oversize keyhole and jeweled neckline, then for the Sony Music Grammy reception, the singer switched to a turquoise beaded minidress with an embellished neckline, finished with neon yellow pumps and a blue crystal clutch, all by Gucci. There were some resemblances between Katy's dresses — after all, they were both from Gucci's Resort 2013 collection — but the floor-length gown was definitely the more envelope-pushing pick. So take a good look at Katy in double the green at the Grammys, then tell us, which do you love more?

Solange, Katy, and Florence Go Green For the Grammys

Solange Knowles, Katy Perry, and Florence Welch all had green on their minds tonight at the 2013 Grammy Awards.

Solange Knowles, Katy Perry, and Florence Welch all had green on their minds tonight at the 2013 Grammy Awards. Solange chose a beaded emerald gown with structured cap sleeves and a thigh-high slit, finished with contrasting neon spiked Christian Louboutin pumps. Katy wore a mint-colored Gucci gown with a decolletage-revealing keyhole and bejeweled neckline, while Florence sparkled in an emerald-green custom-made Givenchy with a side slit and studs. All different shades of green, all fabulous in their own right. But who wins this style battle?
