Hillary Clinton's Wedding Dress Is Surprisingly on Trend 40 Years Later

Hillary Clinton is nothing if not timely. The weekend brought a return of wedding mania with Bridal Fashion Week taking place in New York City, as well as a big celebrity to-do thanks to Sean Avery and the similarly named Hilary Rhoda.

Sunday, Oct. 11 was also Bill and Hillary Clinton's 40th wedding anniversary. In honor of the milestone, Hillary posted a photo from the political power couple's big day, Oct. 11, 1975, in Fayetteville, AR. Even though Hillary has a reputation for loving a good pantsuit — she is a woman, after all, whose first Instagram post was of a rack of patriotic suits — her bohemian, flowing, and very '70s wedding dress is gorgeous, four decades later. We're in the middle of a resurgence of a boho bride trend; Bar Refaeli's wedding dress is proof.

Hillary's wedding dress is now permanently housed in the Clinton House Museum in the couple's old home in Little Rock, AR. Hillary didn't spend her anniversary trying on her old gown, but she and Bill did exchange sweetness over Twitter. Bill wrote, "Seems like only yesterday. . . " For her part, Hillary shared, "40 years ago, I married the cute guy from the library. Happy anniversary, @BillClinton — you've still got it! -H."
