Nanette Lepore once designed for Keds and now it's Tracy Reese's turn.

Nanette Lepore once designed for Keds and now it's Tracy Reese's turn. The queen of flirty frocks has created two items, one of them being this Tracy Reese for Keds Blue Fringe Sneaker ($60). The print isn't exactly the designer's signature; thoughts?

Fab Flash: Keds and Payless Are All About the Green

In honor of Earth Day on April 22, Keds and Payless are creating eco-friendly footwear collections — the Keds Green Label collection and the Payless Zoe and Zac line.

In honor of Earth Day on April 22, Keds and Payless are creating eco-friendly footwear collections — the Keds Green Label collection and the Payless Zoe and Zac line. The cool thing about these two collections is that they both focus on the fashion side first; the green element is an important bonus. “It’s visibly chic, effortlessly hip, and invisibly green,” said LuAnn Via, president of Payless ShoeSource.

The Keds Green Label, launching next month, will include a classic sneaker style and a boat shoe-inspired slip-on — both styles will retail for $55 at Nordstrom and select stores. Payless's Zoe and Zac line debuts near Earth Day and will comprise of wedges, sandals, sneakers, and ballet flats — all priced under $30. Both collections use organic cotton, recycled rubber, and nontoxic dyes. What a fun way to rock Spring's candy kicks trend!

Look of the Day: Fun Times

Sergeantkero looks like she just crawled out of the pages of Teen Vogue — doesn't she?

Sergeantkero looks like she just crawled out of the pages of Teen Vogue — doesn't she? Everything from the bright colors to the model-like pose screams fun times. I love that she downplayed her funky skirt with a baggy tee and white Keds.

Here's what she has on:

  • Top: Topman
  • Skirt: Vintage
  • Shoes: Keds
  • Beanie (not pictured): Forever 21

Congrats to sergeantkero!

Everyone else, submit your looks and I might feature you on FabSugar!

Network Partner Groove Effect reported on Norway-based design label, Fin Oslo, which is eco-friendly and colorful. Goodbye olive, we don't need you anymore!

Our sister site, FabSugar, posted images form the Stella McCartney Spring 2009 lingerie collection because if there's anything that gives a season a jump start, it's fancy undergarments.

The Budget Babe reported on the source of one of our earliest fashion memories, TJ MAXX. In her post you'll learn The Truth About TJ MAXX. Hold on to your hats.

Dujour Mag clued us in to a collaboration between Tracy Reese and Keds. The Plenty By Tracy Reese collection will feature prints inspired by the designer's Spring 2009 collection. To see the Tracy Reese Spring 2009 collection, click here

Simply Fab: Design Your Own Keds

Keds are always cute.

Keds are always cute. And I have to say the brand's model, Mischa Barton, is a good fit. It's been a while though, and technology recently made me purchase my first pair since third grade.

When I found out you can customize Keds on the brand's website, I just had to give shoe designing a stab. The technology can look scary, but it's quite easy. After playing around, I created some trés chic Keds from an Eiffel Tower photo I found on the Internet. For $70, I can afford to take a risk and see if it will translate as well in person. Stay tuned: I'll keep you posted when they arrive. Besides lace-ups, you can also choose from regular slip-ons and mini slip-ons. Imagine the creative possibilities — your favorite fashion editorials, magazine covers, celebrity muses, and artwork on a pair of Keds. Beyond Fab.

Back to Cool: 90210

The '90s are making a comeback in fashion and it's only going to spiral.

The '90s are making a comeback in fashion and it's only going to spiral. Remember this gang? How can one forget, what with the revival and all. I only watched 90210 in the early years — I moved on to Melrose Place. But the early years . . . so good! Brenda was the best, her sharp tongue and moody getups were irresistible. Kelly was a hottie, too, the ultimate blond rich girl with her floral dresses and perfect bangs. And Donna was the sexiest, although always trying to play innocent, in her Herve-esque dresses and miniskirts. Light-wash denim, Doc Martins, demi-cup swimsuits, plaid and borrowed-from-Dylan-and-Brandon shirts and jackets made the mix, too. Do you think there's a chance the new 90210 can make such a splash?

Celebrity Style: Michelle Williams

Is it just me or are the stylish mommies out and about?

Is it just me or are the stylish mommies out and about? Check out Michelle Williams and her little one Matilda. The adorable duo were spotted taking a leisurely stroll on the streets of Brooklyn. Motherhood certainly hasn't affected Michelle's casually cool style. The actress is nonchalant in her black and white gingham shirt and dark denim shorts. Classic white kicks are the perfect choice for all that walking, and of course, her Ray-Ban Wayfarers top off the look. Simple, chic, and cute. On another note, that green drink looks yummy!

Fab Finding Follow-Up: Yum's Got a Green Thumb

Did you know YumSugar is also a good Samaritan?

Did you know YumSugar is also a good Samaritan? Last week, she helped harvest veggies that will benefit the SF Food Bank. Can we give the girl a round of applause please? Clap, clap, clap . . .

This made me imagine what I would wear that would then translate to work attire. I started you off with these Keds Women's Champion Buffalo Mini Slip-Ons ($22) because they're comfy and versatile. Let's see what you all came up with!

Come Fab Finding With Me: Yum's Got a Green Thumb

Did you know YumSugar is also a good Samaritan?

Did you know YumSugar is also a good Samaritan? Today, she helped harvest veggies that will benefit the SF Food Bank. Before working hours, she put on her green thumb gear, including a pair of Keds, and got down and dirty for charity. Can we give the girl a round of applause please? Clap, clap, clap . . .

Such an outing made me imagine what I would wear that would then translate to work attire. It's a toughie, I'm sure you can help me figure it out. I'll start you off with these Keds Women's Champion Buffalo Mini Slip-Ons ($22). They're no doubt comfy, and the black and white buffalo plaid is surprisingly versatile.
