Last night's 2012 CFDA Awards in NYC brought out huge fashion names like Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Carine Roitfeld, Anna Wintour, and a gaggle of designers and top models. >> Spring footwear season has officially arrived. Over the weekend, Missoni released its new collaboration with Converse, adding its signature pattern to the shoe brand's classic Chuck Taylor sneaker.

The shoes come in three colorways: white, pale green, and navy blue. The green and white women's styles hint at the traditional Missoni chevron, while the blue unisex version features a haphazard woven effect. All three styles retail for $200, and will be sold in limited editions at Jeffrey, Fred Segal, and Aloha Rag — as well as on the Converse website.

This isn't the first time Missoni has partnered with Converse; the two brands worked on a line of colorful, striped high-tops last Spring. This year's offering, in the gallery.

We're big fans of Missoni, so the idea of living in a luxury high-rise apartment that's been designed by MissoniHome is certainly tempting us to catch a flight and take a tour. As the first residential building in the world whose interiors will be branded by MissoniHome, the 52-story Acqua Livingstone in Manila is certainly a design-forward project. It's actually the fourth of six condominium towers under construction as part of the Acqua Private Residences — $315.9 million building project.

For Missoni's Fall 2012 collection, designer Angela Missoni was inspired by a mix of urban influences and an immersion in nature and landscape. According to show notes, the woman of Fall '12 is a "heroine in a concrete jungle," and conceives fashion as an "evocative adventurous fantasy" while maintaining a strong-willed, sophisticated yet sensitive vibe. The collection was, of course, loaded with Missoni's signature knits, but this time in a more subtle, less cognizant way — the zigzag print was evident in supertight trousers and knee-length tank dresses, but soon gave way to plaid wool and alternating geometric and amorphous patterns. This urban warrior woman was protected by elbow-length leather gloves, latex corsets, shiny metallic embellishments, as well as chunky, thin-tipped heels and boots, and carried chic square-shaped bags with chain straps and wood grain detailing. Overall, the Missoni girl is more than prepared to battle the elements of the concrete jungle come Fall.

In honor of their respective contributions to the fashion world, both Missoni and Iman were awarded prime real estate on Rodeo's Walk of Style.
