Jay McCarroll, Season One

Jay's inventive designs and original point of view won him the title of season-one winner. Since the show, he began teaching at Philadelphia University and started a fashion line on QVC. He continues to do both today. In 2010, McCarroll won season seven of VH1's Celebrity Fit Club, losing a grand total of 40 pounds. Today, he continues designing; as of February 2011, he has debuted his newest design line of graphic fabrics titled Habitat.

This is a very poorly researched story. Katherine Gerdes says exactly what she's doing now on the front page of her website (including the fact that she's no longer designing, instead focusing on being a pastry chef), so anyone in journalism 101 could have gotten more of the facts right. You also left out the fact that Ra'mon-Lawrence was lead designer at Kohl's for a couple of years, and Christopher Straub's high-profile partnerships with ShopNBC and Maurice's. You could have contacted the designers pretty easily.
