Angelina Jolie Goes Blond For the First Time in Decades

Angelina Jolie is no longer a brunette. In recent behind-the-scenes photos working on her Atelier Jolie capsule collection with Chloé, the actor and mom of six was seen with a different look. While her roots remained her natural dark brown, the rest of her hair now appeared to be a golden, honey-blond hue. It looks like Jolie has gradually been lightening her hair over the past few months. She attended the White House state dinner in late April with a subtle blond ombré.

Since Jolie entered the scene in the late '90s, she's long been recognized for her signature brunette hair. In fact, apart from wigs for onscreen performances, she last sported blond hair when she got her major break in "Girl, Interrupted" back in 1999. Aside from hair dustings and highlights here and there, she's rarely experimented with her hairstyle over the years. Her beauty transformation comes in tandem with her new era launching Atelier Jolie, a purpose-driven label that aims to democratize the fashion industry.

The honey-blond hair color has been making the rounds in Hollywood this year. As hair colorist Kelly Lin recently explained to POPSUGAR, the warm, flattering shade is "composed of a delightful spectrum of soft golden tones that feel like a spring sunset," which makes it easy to tailor to different skin tones and hair types. Zendaya recently dyed her chin-length hair honey blond, with lightened highlights woven throughout.
