If you're preparing to walk down the aisle, then it's likely that your spare time is filled with creating Pinterest boards that will help you to ideate every aspect of your big day perfectly. From your hairstyle to the nail color that you will wear, you're likely thinking that you've covered all of your bases. Still, one of the most overlooked details of the big day is wedding perfumes.

Scent is very strongly linked to memory, so some wedding planners recommend getting a perfume specifically for your wedding day. "A specific wedding perfume is the perfect way to keep reliving the best day of your life over and over again," Anneke Taylor, founder of Set the Stage Events Management, tells POPSUGAR. "A good scent can really add another layer of magic to your big day."

As for the types of perfumes that Taylor recommends for the big day? Well, they vary. "For the most part, light, airy, and more floral perfumes tend to work really well for weddings," she says. "You don't want them to be overpowering, but you also want them to make you feel like you're the star of the show." If you prefer unisex scents, Taylor also recommends looking within a certain scent family. "Warm, woody notes are the way to go if you prefer more heady fragrances," she says.

If you're not one to play it safe and want to experiment with your fragrances, Taylor says you should use that to your benefit. "It's absolutely OK to go for a more bold and unusual wedding fragrance," Taylor says. "If it's something that you wouldn't wear during your normal day-to-day life, it becomes more strongly linked to that one special day."

If you've now realized that you have one more thing to add to your wedding to-do list, don't worry — we'll make this as painless as possible for you. Ahead, we rounded up some of the best wedding perfumes to consider wearing for the big day.
