Charlotte Tilbury Just Got Queen Elizabeth II's Royal Stamp of Approval

It's official: Charlotte Tilbury has been awarded an MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) in the Queen's Birthday Honors List 2018, recognizing her services to the beauty and cosmetics industry. Tilbury certainly knows her way around the industry. Since getting her start 26 years ago, she's worked with some of the most influential figures in the business, and in 2013, she launched her eponymous brand. Tilbury might make the journey look relatively easy and extremely glamorous, but being awarded an MBE is no easy feat. Other influential people in the beauty industry who have been awarded include Jo Malone with a CBE and Ruby Hammer with an MBE.

Tilbury shared her thoughts in a statement, saying, "I have been fortunate enough to work at the forefront of the beauty industry for over two decades which has allowed me to share my vision with the world, changing the way women, from 18-80, perceive themselves through the use of makeup. I have always been passionate about empowering women and helping them to feel confident and the most beautiful versions of themselves through the power of beauty, it inspired my philosophy, give a woman the right makeup and she can conquer the world!"

Tilbury has had quite the week. Not only did she receive an MBE, but she also created the makeup looks for the models at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. Talk about ending the year with a bang.
