Dua Lipa Is Nearly Unrecognizable With Bleached Eyebrows and Micro Bangs

Dua Lipa had us doing a double-take after she appeared on the cover of Vogue France's September 2023 issue. On Aug. 24, the singer debuted bleached eyebrows that instantly transformed her face, making her nearly unrecognizable at first glance. "@DuaLipa, as you have never seen her before!" the publication taglined the article on Instagram.

While stars like Julia Fox, Kendall Jenner, and Lisa Rinna have all shown their support for bleached eyebrows in the past, this is the first time Lipa has given the trend her stamp of approval. Lipa's beauty team — including makeup artist Lisa Eldridge and hairstylist Paul Hanlon — completed the singer's look with a neutral lip, minimal makeup, and a slicked-back hairdo that blended seamlessly into the exaggerated collar of her Alaïa coat, styled by Vanessa Reid.

In subsequent photos from the shoot, Lipa maintained the colorless brows, pairing the surprising look with a long black wig and a set of choppy micro bangs. Her nearly invisible eyebrows provided the perfect contrast to the dramatic hairstyle, making each of her photos from the shoot more shocking than the last. Nail artist Michelle Humphrey completed Lipa's look with a simple, "clean-girl" manicure.

From rocking blue hair in the "Barbie" movie to sharing her take on the "indie sleaze" makeup trend, Lipa has never been afraid to experiment when it comes to beauty. Most recently, the star made a compelling case for curtain bangs at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival in May.

Like Lipa's bangs, we suspect her eyebrow transformation is only temporary. With her third studio album expected to debut in 2024, though, we're sure Lipa will have plenty more fun hair and makeup looks to share in the coming months.
