Gemma Chan Debuts Dramatic Clip-In Bangs on the Cannes Red Carpet

Gemma Chan temporarily switched up her signature look at the Cannes Film Festival on May 17. While walking the red carpet, Chan debuted a faux set of blunt bangs. A major departure from her face-framing curtain bangs and sleek side bangs of the past, Chan's wispy bangs may be her shortest ever.

While attending the unveiling of Hirokazu Kore-Eda's "Monster," Chan walked the red carpet in a white Louis Vuitton cape dress adorned with shimmering paillettes and a messy updo. Chan's faux fringe, cropped just below her eyebrows, framed her face beautifully. Turning to the side, she revealed a few asymmetrical face-framing pieces that curved along her cheekbone and against her ear.

The rest of her hair was tied back into a loose bun at the crown of her head, beautifully elongating her neck as she floated down the red carpet. Chan's beauty team completed the look with a shimmery pink lip, rosy blush, and bold mascara. The next day, she walked the "Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny" red carpet with her face-framing pieces back in place and no blunt bangs to be seen.
