Everyone Camila Mendes Has Dated, From Charles Melton to Boyfriend Rudy Mancuso

Camila Mendes has a short but sweet dating history, though the only romance on her radar right now is with boyfriend Rudy Mancuso. The "Música" costars turned lovers seemingly made their relationship Instagram official with a series of photos shared in November 2022 following dating rumors, though Mendes played coy about her relationship afterward.

During the Jan. 26 episode of the "Going Mental" podcast, the "Riverdale" alum got candid about her current relationship, confirming then that it was in a good place. "I think I'm gonna keep it that way, for now," she said of her private romance. "I don't know, I'm constantly changing my perspective on it. Because the thing is, I love so hard when I love that I always want to show off my lover . . . I get so mushy-gushy with that [stuff]."

Despite keeping her relationship out of the spotlight, Mendes did reveal that she's been seeing her partner, assumed to be Mancuso, since June 2022. "I am still in the honeymoon [phase], but it's one of those situations where I feel like I'm really trying to temper myself," she explained. "I don't wanna speak above and beyond, but I feel like I've known him my whole life, and that's something I actually have never felt before."

In the past, Mendes has been rather candid about her views on dating. In 2018, she told Refinery29, "I think everyone today is grappling with this new kind of dating. It's not like we can take advice from our parents. There's this whole new method of communication." She continued, "Even though millennials are so used to this form of communication, there is a surprising difficulty in dating someone you meet through an app. It's more complicated than it's ever been, especially when you can see all of your options on your phone, and swipe through. That's what romance has come down to."

Despite being romantically linked to actors like Mancuso and others, the "Do Revenge" star also previously revealed why she doesn't like dating people in her industry. ". . . Dating people in the industry is tough," Mendes told Nylon in 2018. "I did for a little bit. I've just dated actors. It's hard when that's your world. You only meet people through work and that can be really tough, because you're not necessarily meeting people that you're similar to. It's just people that you're with because you're working on the same project. I've learned to not do that. Thank god nothing bad has ever happened from those experiences."

Mendes first sparked romance rumors with Houston in June 2018 when she posted a now-deleted picture of them on Instagram, in which he and another guy kissed the actor's cheek, per E! News. Later that month, a source told the outlet that the two were dating. According to the insider, Mendes and Houston had been seeing each other for two months at that time, adding that the pair went to neighboring high schools in Florida before later reconnecting in New York City.

However, the romance was short-lived, as another source told E! News that August that the former couple had split "very recently." "Camila ended things with Victor after ComicCon, when she realized she wasn't ready to be in this relationship anymore," the insider said. "Victor was completely blindsided and is very heartbroken." They added, "He has been receiving a lot of backlash from the 'Riverdale' community, even though it was actually Camila's choice to end the relationship."

Rumors about Mendes and Melton dating first began circulating in September 2018 after the former posted a snap of the two on Instagram seemingly cuddled up on a boat. A few weeks later, a source told E! News the pair were seen kissing at the movies in Vancouver. "Camila sat next to Charles and leaned on his shoulder," they said. "As the lights were dimming, my friend saw them kiss!" The two later went Instagram official in since-deleted posts.

After a year of dating, it was reported in December 2019 that Mendes and Melton were taking a break. "Cami and Charles have been separated for a few months now," a source told E! News. "They are taking a break from their relationship. Their relationship escalated very quickly and they are taking time now to focus on their work and themselves." The insider added that they both were incredibly busy with their respective careers and that "nothing in particular happened, they just both felt busy and overwhelmed and it was a lot of pressure on them."

The pair got back together in June 2021 but split again shortly thereafter.

In between Mendes's breakup and reconciliation with Melton, she was linked to photographer Grayson Vaughan. The two went Instagram official in September 2020 when Mendes posted a snap of them kissing and embracing in front of a private jet, per People. She captioned it, "that long distance kind of love," and tagged Vaughan's account. Six months later, though, the two reportedly split. "There was no drama at all, and they are still friends," a source told E! News. "Their relationship just ran its course."

Mendes and Mancuso first connected after they were both cast in their yet-to-be-released rom-com "Música." In addition to directing the movie, Mancuso also wrote the script and composed the original score and soundtrack. Mendes is also an executive producer on the film. When Deadline broke the news in April 2022, Mancuso said in a statement about working with his now-girlfriend: "I'm beyond excited to have the wildly gifted mind of Camila join this special journey of 'Música,' where we're telling an authentic Brazilian-American story through the eyes of a synesthete."

It wasn't until that September that dating rumors about the costars began to swirl, as they were photographed arriving at the Venice Film Festival together, per Us Weekly. The outlet also reported that the two were spotted leaving a Halloween party together the following month, with Mancuso's arm around Mendes.

In November 2022, Mendes subtly teased her romance with Mancuso when she posted a collection of snaps on Instagram captioned, "Life update." One slide included a photo of herself and an unidentified man sharing a poolside kiss. It only showed a reflection of the couple in the sliding glass doors by the pool, making it unclear whether Mancuso was the man in the pic. Regardless, Mendes's friends were quick to express their excitement for her newfound romance in the comments section. "U guys r 2 cute," "Outer Banks" star Chase Stokes wrote. Mendes's "Riverdale" costar Vanessa Morgan added, "Living your best life, and I'm here for it." Reps for Mendes and Mancuso did not respond to POPSUGAR's request for comment at the time.

Mendes and Mancuso made things official-official on Valentine's Day this year when the former shared a snap of the two sharing a kiss. "meu valentine. te amo so much 💌," Mendes captioned the Instagram post, also tagging Mancuso. A month later, the two were seen at Vanity Fair's 2023 Oscars afterparty. Then, in July, the couple celebrated their one-year anniversary, which Mendes also documented with a PDA-filled pic on Instagram. She wrote, "always in our own little world 💭 te amo so much. one year down, and many more to go 🤞🏽."

The pair proved they were still going strong in September when they attended the Venice Film Festival together and again in October when they wore matching Halloween costumes. "mario & luigi: a love story," Mendes captioned an Instagram photo of the two dressed up and sharing a peck.

Prior to Mendes, Mancuso dated "Good Trouble" star Maia Mitchell. After six years together, the couple announced their breakup in April 2022.
