Robert Pattinson and Suki Waterhouse Are Inseparable on the Met Gala Red Carpet

Robert Pattinson and Suki Waterhouse stepped out for a rare date night at the Met Gala on May 1. During the star-studded event, Pattinson and Waterhouse were inseparable as they posed for the cameras, holding each other in a loving embrace on the Metropolitan Museum of Art's colorful steps. Between moments of smiling and laughter, the couple even cuddled up with their arms around each other for a romantic photo op.

Waterhouse and Pattinson have been conscious about keeping their relationship private since they first began dating in 2018. "He thinks people are chasing him even if we're on the couch. He's just got that mentality," Waterhouse told The Times in February of Pattinson's desire to keep their relationship out of the spotlight. The fashion exhibit marked the couple's first public outing since making their red carpet debut at Dior's fall 2023 menswear show in Egypt, which took place in December 2022.

Some couples love to display PDA on the red carpet (see: Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban at the Oscars in March), while others might save it for date night while enjoying movies on the couch. And even for their rare public outing, Waterhouse and Pattinson maintained their laid-back demeanor, soaking up the event side by side between sweet glances and adoring smiles.
