Bella Hadid's Kitten Heel Sneakers Are Bound to Cause a Stir

No matter how polarizing they may be, low-rise minis, latex cutouts, and paper-bag trousers have nothing on Bella Hadid's latest choice of footwear. After walking in Fendi's debut show at New York Fashion Week celebrating the 25th anniversary of Baguette, the supermodel swung by the afterparty with boyfriend Marc Kalman. Wearing a hybrid shoe by Romanian designer Ancuta Sarca, Hadid rocked the unexpected combination of an electric-blue Nike sneaker, knee-high leather boots, and a pointed kitten heel, with her usual effortless ease.

She kept her outfit quite simple, letting her controversial footwear steal the spotlight. Featuring a corset top, shrug jacket, and pleated miniskirt from I.AM.GIA, the all-black leather ensemble was completed with an iconic Baguette purse and yellow-tinted sunglasses. Before the party, Hadid appeared on Fendi's catwalk in a plunging Tiffany-blue jumpsuit in collaboration with Tiffany & Co, as Kim Kardashian, Sarah Jessica Parker, La La Anthony, and more A-listers looked on from the front row.

Since launching her label in 2019, Sarca has been upcycling Nike trainers to create the hybrid shoe, which have now become the designer's signature. After being worn by megastars like Rihanna, Cher, and Kim Kardashian, the one-of-a-kind heel is bound to divide the internet. Similar to the Balenciaga Crocs 2.0 that gave the famous clog a mule heel, Sarca's shoes may come as a shock. But perhaps it's only a matter of time before this unique style becomes just as cool as Birkenstocks or croc heels, especially if the likes of Hadid are pulling off the trend.

Ahead, take a closer look at the model's full outfit.
