On Monday night, Blake Lively looked festive as ever in head-to-toe red to celebrate the return of UK flights to the US at the Empire State Building in NYC. From the beaded, gift-like custom minidress from Georges Chakra to the matching ruby red earrings and Manolo Blahnik pumps, the star's outfit was elegant, chic, and put-together . . . or so it appeared to be.

The following day, Blake revealed on her Instagram Stories that she had painted the white jewels on her heels — casually worth about a thousand dollars — with red nail polish as she was walking out the door. Yep, you read that right! She continued to recap the special night (and look), jokingly apologizing to Max Mara for tying her wine-colored coat like "the fifth Golden Girl" and the color pink for using it "to cheat on [her] red look" with her tweed Chanel purse.

Honestly, her last-minute fix isn't too surprising considering Blake has had no problem getting, er, creative with her shoe choices in the past. Remember the time she drew strappy brown sandals on her feet, Microsoft Paint style, in a photo of her and Ryan Reynolds? At least this time, it was a lot more subtle and truthfully, she still looks very chic. Ahead, get a closer look at the actress's full 'fit and painted Manolos.
