Christian Cowan called on some of his most stylish friends to star in his virtual fall/winter 2021 presentation. The designer has teamed up with Motorola Razr before, and to continue the partnership, he collaborated with director Matthew Frost for a film called A Fashion Thing. If you watch the short film, you'll notice a ton of celebrity appearances, including from original Razr queen Paris Hilton, Saturday Night Live stars Chloe Fineman and Bowen Yang, singer Justine Skye, and renowned activist and author Rachel Cargle.

The short video is set in the iconic Pierre hotel, and the film "invites viewers into Cowan's vivid imagination to give them what they're currently craving: extravagance, glamour, irony, over-the-top fashion, and of course, a fan favorite flip phone," according to a press release. If seeing Paris Hilton holding a pink bedazzled Razr doesn't unlock memories from the early 2000s, I don't know what will. Of course, as you watch it, you'll also notice that the cast are wearing sparkly pieces from Cowan's latest fall/winter collection. The collection also seems to be inspired by the aughts, with lots of shimmer, sequins, and shine.

When determining the cast, Cowan decided to choose people he felt celebrated queer culture. He is also continuing his partnership with The Loveland Foundation from his spring 2021 collection and is donating proceeds from the line to the young Black queer community in Atlanta. Keep reading to get a closer look at the imagery and watch the video too.
