There even used to be an entire organization dedicated to this one moment each year — the National Corduroy Club (hail to the wale!) — but it disbanded after a massive celebration on 11/11/11 attended by over 300 people, including a young girl who happened to be turning 11 that same day. I guess they decided that much excitement was impossible to top.
