Diane Kruger's cover story for Net-a-Porter.com's The Edit sort of reminds us of her Instagram: utterly romantic, stylish but with a sense of humor, and serious when you least expect it. Diane romps around in gorgeous dresses from the likes of Tibi, Erdem, No. 21, and Simone Rocha, making her designs look as comfortable as slips but as elegant as evening gowns.

That's how the Disorder star wears her clothes: effortlessly. (She did begin modeling at 15, after all.) "I think when you're 15 you want to be looked at, you're testing out your womanly boundaries. The second time I saw '60s fashion trends come around, I was like, 'Oh God, I'm done, I need to get out of here,'" she said of her transition to acting.

However, Diane hasn't left her fashion focus in the dust. Click over to The Edit to hear about the hilarious relationship she maintains with designer Karl Lagerfeld, who regularly dresses her for the red carpet, and soak up her don't-mess-with-me attitude when it comes to style: "[If] you don't like my skirt, big deal. Go to hell!" Plus, keep scrolling to shop Diane's standout looks from the shoot.
