It's All About the Turtleneck at Dior Pre-Fall

Raf Simons brought the fashion world to Tokyo for Dior Pre-Fall 2015, though you won't find any clothes that look particularly Japanese-inspired. Instead, Raf Simons's first Pre-Fall runway, presented to a crowd of style insiders and celebs, like Hailee Steinfeld and Audrey Tautou, looked much more like traditional Fall, thanks largely to the turtlenecks in practically every look he sent down the catwalk.

Lest you think turtlenecks sound humdrum, Raf gave them quite the opposite spin, adding them under dresses and coats, as a kind of second skin, and covering them in sequins to boot. But if the high necklines were the stars of the show, touches of fair isle, playful textures, windowpane prints, and knee-high boots were the supporting actors that made the very wearable collection a standout one, too.
