The Hottest Swimsuit of 2017 Was Quite Risqué — but You Probably Wore It Anyway

Lisa Marie Fernandez has been a popular swimwear brand among celebrities, bloggers, and really just stylish women everywhere since its launch in 2009. But in 2017, one of the label's suits seemed to reign supreme: the triple Poppy. Perhaps due to the recent rise of the one-piece, women were struck by a maillot with cutouts — something they could put on that felt unique and sexy without offering complete coverage, and eye-catching. While any girl would have to watch out for tricky tan lines wearing a row of bows, in 2017, beachside looks became way more style defining. They weren't solely constructed for the purpose of achieving a glow. To prove the Poppy's popularity, there's already a wait list for the newest iterations of the design, which feature polka dots and come in tomato red and cornflower blue.
