Jodie Turner-Smith Wows in a Cutout Halter Slip Dress at Venice Film Festival

The 79th Venice Film Festival is currently underway, and the fashions are front and center. Filmmakers, actors, models, and pop stars have descended on the Venetian streets in Italy to celebrate the best in international cinematic excellence. Among those in attendance catching our attention is actress and Gucci muse Jodie Turner-Smith, who glided on the red carpet in a sleek lilac cutout slip dress by Et Ochs. She elevated the look with layered necklaces and a simple black clutch, and fluffy purple mule heels by Kendall Miles. She later wowed at the "Bardo" premiere wearing an abstract art-inspired gown by Christopher John Rogers. The gown in question is Look 33 from Rogers's Collection 009 and was inspired by the art of late abstract pioneer Sam Gilliam. Styled by Wayman and Micah, Turner-Smith paired the colorful racerback twill gown with a dazzling diamond choker and complimenting drop earrings. The "Anne Boylen" star has been quite the one to watch this week. From a stunning black sequined Gucci gown with satin neon-green opera gloves to a pink lace dress, also by Gucci, with towering white lace-up boots, she's been dominating red carpet after red carpet. Another memorable look she wore is a sheer red Versace dress with a coordinating Brandon Blackwood bag and contrasting green Kendall Miles plush heels.

Other stars in attendance include Tessa Thompson, who stole the show in a blue archival Armani Privé look; Cate Blanchett; Hillary Clinton; and Emma Chamberlin. The Venice Film Festival, considered the oldest festival in the world, will run until Sept. 10. As many acclaimed international films continue to make their debuts, we're excited to see more of the red carpet looks.

Ahead, scroll to see Turner-Smith's piercing abstract-inspired gown, and check back in to see other looks from the fashion-packed affair.
