A Winter coat that's both cute and warm? Admittedly, it sounds like a myth — something dreamed up by a hopeful fashion girl, tired of shivering in the cold. But thankfully, the combo really does exist, and as proof, we've asked some of fashion's top names to weigh in with their suggestions. From Victoria's Secret models looking for ethical options to designers who made the piece themselves, scroll through for picks that'll keep you toasty until springtime and warmer weather arrive once again.

"I have a Canada Goose, but I wore it out all last Winter so I need a new really warm coat. I don't want to do fur, so I was asking a friend recently, and she suggested a down bomber jacket, which is a good option. I was thinking a [faux fur] Stella McCartney, because you just trust that she's doing it ethically, but I don't know if it'll be that warm. I should get on that."

"I just got a coat that I really like from Joseph. It's black, really classic and simple. It's got white buttons and when you pull the collar up, it's got white inside. I like a lot of black and white because it's a good natural, basic color that goes with anything. Then, from Tommy Hilfiger, I got this military green wool coat with white stripes. Just to change it up, so I don't have [all] black."

"We have a jacket that's called the Theo jacket. The inside is fur, it's removable, it's like Joseph and the Technicolor Dream Coat. The fur zips out, so you can wear it as a vest and then just have a jacket over it, so it's nice because it's versatile. If you're not into fur, which I understand, then we have a coat called the Luke coat, which [blogger] Something Navy wore in our fashion show. It gives you a hint of animal, which is also a trend right now, but it's made out of wool."

"Since I do live in California, I always want to buy coats, and I'm like, what am I doing? I'm literally going to wear this one day of the year. I do have this one Coach coat. It's freaking humongous, but it goes with everything, it's long, it's black, it's huge, it has cute little stars all over it. I'm obsessed with it. I can't wait for it to drizzle so I can put it on."
