Karen Walker's Spring Eyewear Worships Sun Gods
I remember thinking how cool Karen Walker Eyewear's vampire-inspired look book was. And now the brand has outdone itself twice over. The Spring '10 selection, deemed Sun Gods, is genius. The rich gold hues, ornate headpieces, portrait-style photography, and of course, totally cool sunnies all make for one of the snazziest Spring look books. Bow down to the sun gods . . .
Fab Finding Follow-Up: Coachella Bound!
Thanks to H&M, we're heading to the Coachella music fest tonight to check out some amazing bands and faboo fashions. The three-day festivities will be held in Indio, CA, so it's going to be hot and dusty. I asked you to create the perfect music festival 'fit. Kate Moss was a great source of inspiration — we love her boho-cool vest and effortless shorties.
Let's see what you came up with!
Look #1, by Catoon, is girlie cool. I love that kitschy playsuit.

Karen Walker Fall 2009 Collection
Karen Walker's Fall 2009 collection, which was shown during New York Fashion Week, was titled "Cracked". On the runway the theme manifested in chic break-away jackets and quirky prints depicting shattered china plates and broken strands of pearls. Walker also experimented with princess sleeves this season, showing the new silhouette on everything from trench coats to jersey dresses. Check out the full range of looks in the gallery below.

Look Book Love: Karen Walker Eyewear, Fall '09
You know a look book is spot-on when you wish you could grow vampire teeth to replicate it. Karen Walker's Fall '09 eyewear Look Book had that effect on me. OK, I'm a little biased considering my ongoing obsession with the gothic vampire look. Aside from the rad teeth, the sunnies are stunning. You would most definitely do a double take if you saw someone wearing a pair. Cobalt blue frames, orange lenses, rectangular tortoise, and perfectly round styles are the coolest ways to shield your eyes from the sun . . . especially if you're a vamp.

Trend Alert: Tortoise Shades
I have always been keen on tortoise shades. The marbleized brown and black has a cool retro flavor, and is less severe than black frames. It's the perfect grab-and-go-anywhere sunnie. When I spotted the always-fabulous Cate Blanchett in her tortoises in Perth, Australia, it cemented my love for the frame style. I'll take her shades, and a trip to Perth, please!
